Quite possibly the end-all solution for flameboard requests

I'll take this one a sentence ( can I call them that?? ) at a time.

Sentence 1: I have been arguing reasons why a FB is NOT a bad thing. I have also discussed some of the pitfalls that we WILL encounter as a result of having a FB. After that I have mentioned that even the pitfalls are of no consequence and stated the reasons why. When it comes time for a vote, I will then speak up and say I actually want one. Till then, we're just talking about.

You right and I choose to do the oppsite. I have mention the reason it was removed in the first place. I told how it was when the flameboard was here. There where good parts of flameboard but it was waaaayyy out of control. There is no reason to take this site back to that.

Sentence 2: Who gives a shit if you said it or you piggy back on the idea 110%? Either way you are on a specific side of the fence and everyone can see that. And no, I do not have a flameboard. There is no flameboard at QCDN.

Sentence 5: I think this is the closest thing to a correct statement you've made in as long as I can remember, albeit the most butchered one, and one that is really a regurgitated way of stating the same things mentioned in sentences 1, 3 and 4.

Sentence 6 (really a continuation of 5): If we have a no holds barred type of forum, and it contains such things as flames, jokes, and other things Hellstorm doesn't appreciate, yet that type of material is kept inside the walls of said forum, please explain in detail how this will affect any of the several other forums on this site. Also, please define "scum level of sites".

Nah what I didn't like is how people where taken advantage of and how respectible flames where tainted by jackels. scum level is the point where people just stoped coming to the site because everything is turn into slander even before you get to page 8.

The FB was removed because Sculli got all enlightened from some self-help class and decided it was for the better for reasons that were all debunked and shot down following the removal. Oh, and he also got scared that the FB was giving him a bad rep because JDA wouldnt allow members who are active at QCDN.

Paragraph 1: It was removed because the mods weren't doing their jobs then. Now they actually pay attention and lock threads that deserve locking. They punish those that deserve punishment. You will not see the same end result, and need to let go of the past. Also, I have to request that you stop speaking on my behalf. You have mentioned what I want in all your posts. You really don't have the first clue about what I want, and that is painfully obvious. Myself and others mentioned that you don't have to read the FB. You seem to think you HAVE to. That I don't get at all. If it's not your cup of tea and you know it, then WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU KEEP READING? You personally can't handle staying away, and the result of reading FB posts (for you) is that you also can't handle that. That is a personal problem.

Paragraph 2: You're free to give whatever side you like, as I am free to prove you wrong. And That's all that has happened. Not sure why you even bring that up. Seriously, go ahead and make your points. If me or anyone else feels like contesting it, that's fair game. Speaking to your "points" though, they have all been denounced, so until you come up with a reason why a FB would actually cause problems, you can stop repeating things that ARE NOT FACT, but in reality are just the way you personally feel about it.

Paragraph 3: Ah the past. We've been there and back again. Twice. That doesn't matter. Today things around here are different. By that, I'm talking about the newer forums that exist as environments to create and categorize discussions. I'm talking about the mods that work hard to keep things where they ought to be. I'm talking about a drastically different culture than existed long ago.

I'm sure you use every function and feature of this site to offer up complaints. From a user standpoint that's all you can do. Let the mods do their job. If you can give real reasons why a FB (in today's QCDN) would present a problem, share that thought. If it's something the mods will be unable or unwilling to handle, then that is definitely something to be concerned with. However, you haven't brought up anything like that. The best examples you've mentioned were historical references that simply do not apply today.

I was NOT the FB Mod. Not ever. I modded Quests - Missions - Guides for a while, then Skaw and I both did, and then I resigned to simply hand back something to Sculli that was of no value to me (given the way he would have things). Furthermore, what about my persona would even hint at the fact that I would leave a job unfinished?

1. Start a linkshell called Flamboard or something similar.
2. Register it here on QCDN.
3. <Invite to join party> anyone who is interested.
3a. Yes it requires a moderator, but only in the loosest of senses. A mod only for approval of interested flamers, nothing more, so sayeth the flameboard by-laws.
4. FLAME ON!

This way people who don't want to be subjected to the mind-numbingly redunculousness that is the FB, they don't have to be.
Also, it will keep the shiny apple that is QCDN ever shiny in the eyes of the public, with that dirty apple-eating worm satiated.

Solution? Sure. Is it perfect? Nope. Would it work? iuno.
