Ramuh is a dirty cheater!!!

Ok, I just went to solo Ramuh, and everything is going fine. I got 2 Searing lights off, hes almost dead, i have hi-potions and ethers on macro and things are looking up.

Then he uses his two hour "Judgment Bolt". No big deal, it happens in every fight.

I pop a hi-potion. Next thing I know I see this:

Ramuh Prime readies Judgment Bolt.
Alerith is defeated by Ramuh Prime.

Now someone please enlighten me. Everywhere I check, it says the Avatar will use its 2hr ONCE when it reaches 50% hp or less. This has not happened to me before, neither on this character or my old character.

Is it just me or has this happened to someone else?

With the number of times I went face down in front of Leviathan, I can't rule out cheating. I kind of came to expect it from those bastard avatars, though.

Same kinda thing happened to me during my fight with the ENM Fantochinni puppet. He started casting Quake, I stun and run out of range to be sure I'm safe, I run back in range when I know he'll be done casting (approximately 10 seconds) and he hits me with a tornado? One hit K.O on me, and I was just left, face down in the dirt, wondering what the hell had happened.

Very strange.

Same sort of thing happend to me at Leviathan. Not so much as him using it twice, more like the damage being applied before he actually uses it...

Now whenever i run from something, I always stun when i come back. Never had any problems since then ^^

leviathan used 2 tidal waves on me and made me feel like i was at the water rapids park in orlando. it does happen, they cheat and it seems its always when using the ethers and hi-pots.

Are you do the lvl 20 capped fights? If so the avatar can and almost always will use there 2hr 2 times. Normally they don't have a chance to use it a third because by then either you or they are dead.

Geez, this must be like a Ballista fight with temporary items except the avatars are the only ones that can pick up revitalizers :/ That really sucks, I tried soloing Garuda prime today on 75 rdm/blm Tarutaru... Got her 3/4 of the way down, but running out of mp and my convert being almost ready but not in time, my luck ran out and I lost...

So I'll just wait until I take my nin from 24 to 37 at least to go rdm/nin and solo these damn avatars.

ahh, don't feel too bad I was the poor sap that at lvl 20 decided it would be fun to solo Levi with minifork... ooo the joys of not trading your Mini-fork to the crystal before the fight... It kinda went something like this:

Reya: "Go little guy! Destroy for great justice! Win mommy a new snake dragon!"

Carbuncle takes 345 Damage
Carbuncle is defeated by the Levi. Prime

Reya: o .o!
Reya: Well that's not good at all....

Reya is defeated by Levi. Prime

one homepoint later... along with a quick inventory check

Yeah I don't think I've ever fought Ramuh where he didn't use 2 Judgment Bolts on me, and the thing that pisses me off the most is it seems that he just floats down on top of you and really doesn't need to walk the same path you do to get to the top. After about 10 deaths to that fucker I just gave up and would rather do prime fights now. Atleast that way I can get the whispers for fenrir at the same time.

I did the same thing too, only it was against Shiva and for some odd reason i got 2hr'd after Carby died >.>

FYI, Ramuh cheats in the prime fight too. His two hour did over 1800 damage to a rdm friend of mine (hit for 1400-1500, went through stoneskin; barfire was up and I was spamming barfira as mnk/whm). We went back later with a larger party and were pwned again. Someday . . . I really want that lightning ring, lol.

Why were you using barfira against Ramuh? Ramuh = Lightning
