Ranger maat

question for all you high lvl rangers out there:

how did you defeat maat?
what would you recommend with regards to weapon choice?
Anything I must absolutely positively do before going up against him?

note: I'm only 61, I'm just trying to gather as much information as I can before I even think about going head to head with him.

It is easiest Maat fight. Basically just do the sleep pot TP thing Slugshot > Barrage > Slugshot > EES and he is dead. Just don't miss.

 

[Stouter]

I'd suggest bow since the rng nerf, what you need to take is a blink band, food (I suggest a coeurl sub) opo necklace, 6 sleeping pots, and an icarus wing.

-Eat food, equip necklace and blink band before entering.
-Chug your 6 sleeping pots, and use your blink band.
-Equip normal head/neck gear.
-Run up to him, engage, get to the sweet spot.
-Activate Barrage and Sharpshot.
-Sidewinder > Shadowbind > Fire Barrage > EES > Wing if needed > Sidewinder

He should fire off his EES when your barrage hits, and you should have 1-2 shadows left on blink band to take the hit. Shadowbind immediately after your first Sidewinder to keep him from raping your shadows with his H2H and keep him at a distance for Barrage.

 

[Foofighter]

Activate sharpshot right before you engage and fire your first Sidewinder. The fight will only last about as long as Sharpshot lasts.

I wouldn't mess with shadowbind either just go for as much damage as quick as possible.

Gun

In this situation you want to go with gun for many reasons.

1st reason is yoou wont be firing any regular shot so delay doesnt matter. (cept 1 Barrage which he will be bound anyways)

2nd reason Gun deals more damamge.

3rd reason Hellfire+silver bullets and a full barrage nets you 104TP Whereas i tihnk bow is 96? (Been a while since i counted)

But yeah Sleep for TP, use blink band, Open with slugshot and the shadowbind, after that barrage sharpshot, and if you dont get 100 TP from that use EES thatll hopefully get your extra TP needed. then Slug shot again, if he still isnt dead use a wing then Slug sot again.

I did this entire fight with gun and no food. and no icarus wing use common sense and ull be fine. lol he also WS me for 1007 dmg.

GL youll do fine this fight is cake.
