Rdm>Blu PROOF!

BLU 58 atm and have only been to 50cap ballistas. but owned in each. for me Blastbomb seems to save my ass lol. nothing better then mnk running to me thinking "oh mage will get owned by this ws!!" <Chain Affinity>~> Mandibular Bite.. then watch him run after 400 DMG instantly lol. from what i have done.. BLU is very tough to beat.. for sure at 75 ballista. 2 more lvls then ill try some 60cap.

RDM doesn't need to be able to kill BLU 1v1.

They just need to live long enough for the rest of their team to come own the BLU in question.

Bottomline? If curestatus items are involved, BLU has a pretty good chance of winning. No items= BLU loses.

Phalanx+Protect4+DEF food+earth staff owns the multi-hit spells hard. The sleeps are useless due to poison which any smart mage has on at all times.

It really comes down to what debuffs the RDM lands on the BLU without the BLU dispelling them. If a good RDM sticks gravity, that BLU isn't doing much anytime soon unless the RDM is already bound.

As far as Geist Wall and trunk goes, lol@ those in pvp..useless due to spell range and/or cast time.

Everything a BLU does is situational. RDM has all their tools available at any given time, this alone gives them a large advantage over BLU most of the time.

Summary: Shitty RDMs will get rocked by BLUs due to not having their gear/buffs in place, good RDMs will just crowd control them and let their team go after them.

Liefe missed the part about the 1 on 1 fights...yup

When you get blu to sixty and when i get G2 done and rdm to 60, we are going to need a good camera man....

I did cover that.

A good RDM will just silence, gravity, bind, and nuke kite you. Even if you have 5 stacks of echos it doesnt really matter since you'll never be in spell range. It's really not much of a duel this way, but they will beat you unless you are have a full set of temp items (edit: which kind of defeats the purpose of a 1v1 anyhow..anyone with a full set of healing/tp/etc items has a gigantic advantage over their opponent 1v1). Only a retard would stand in a blue mage's spell radius to eat a full on raping.

Funny how most of the shit written in this thread isn't coming from actual BLU or people who play ballista with any sort of frequency..

I was more point to the fact that you kept resorting to have the rdm rely on his team to take care of the blu.

Both sides have their advantages and disadvantages. It depends on the player how well either side would do in a fight.

BLU fears no team, he will hit'em all in the face with a <Frypan>. At once! If they look like they want more there's always <Tailslap>
waiting for use.

XD

I'm sure frightful roar will help the pt as a whole greatly...

Anyways, how strong are the buffs feather barrier and metallic body? Is it the same as stoneskin or does it work in regular pt where its like gone in 2-3 hits=P

Except shadows eat frypan and tailslap, and tailslap isn't a pbaoe, it's frontal.

No problem!

Frypan will take care of everyone's shadows (NINs and /NINs, the rest will be stunned silly) then Tailslap will finish the deed.
The red eyed BLU is gonna be facing them all when he casts.

^^

You don't play Ballista much, do you?

Frypan is aoe, so aoe takes away shadows? no? and tailspin.

Both are stunning aoes

No, I was taking the RPG aspect of it.

Something like a turn-based written duel/battle.

You were supposed to counter/up my imaginary Red Eyed BLU's move with that of the team you introduced. But neverminding that,
this idea can be used to actually test the outcome of said duel.

Join in to see how it goes. Diversity is the key.

RDM vs BLU

1st MOVE:

RDM casts <Sleep> (2.5 secs) and BLU casts <Pinecone Bomb> (2.5 secs)

1st MOVE Outcome:

Adding Fast Cast and enfeebling, RDM sticks it and sleeps the BLU. Next move?

Reminds me of Red vs. Blue from Rooster Teeth Productions lol

Yea, should make an FFXI version now entitled RDM vs BLU lol
