RDM Gear

Well I'm currently leveling RDM, and its at 27. I'm still wearing the Lizard Jerkin set. Now I was wondering should I go for Centurions Stuff at 30, RSE, or something else. Any advice is welcome and I'd be glad to hear your opinion.

Isn't there that level 30 mage gear? Like a black robe or something lol .. I'm not a mage, so I dunno

Seer's Gear is whm/blm/smn. It's the Gaudy Tunic or whatever but they seem useless. My advice would be go for the Centurions and buy nice rings and earrings.

Depends a lot on your race too. I used my RSE set as soon as I could equip it, being an Elvaan, cause all that extra MP and INT really helps. If you're a Taru, then you'll want gear that boosts MND. Mithra and Hume need a little bit of both. Galka need all of the above, lol.

RSE unless you are a taru. And if a taru just use the INt and MND gear, and then choose some other pieces of equip. Cent gear is useless for rdm.

INT, MND gear is nice. Use a wand, I'm not sure what it's called for your level, but probably get the HQ. Solid wand I think it is. Any gear with +INT. Cent gear is useless unless for RDM.
Earrings >> Morion @ 30. Rings, anything with MND or INT is good.

Yea, I especially love my Hume RSE Pants and Boots. Earrings.. if you don't have enough for Morion, Cunning Earrings are great and all you miss out on is 4mp per ear. But if you have some money to spare... do something like Morion x2, Astral x2 and then Justic Badge for neck. That way you;d have INT, MND, and MP. However, I'm only a 23 rdm... so that very may well not be a great idea.

you can do that with brd too, saw a guy named thinger today in citadel.

RSE!! Go hume RSE pants and feet. The gloves and armor aren't really that useful and if you can try to get +int and +mnd gear for those two.

If you are feeling that you have enough money to spend, buy the +int and +mnd rings and make a swap macro.

If not centurians at this lvl i'd say are pretty good, espceially if your the type of rdm that melees. The best advice though is to get past these lvls quickly because this is the "no fun" zone for redmages.

Red Mage shouldn't be melee'ing much past 31. or melee'ing a lot less at least. Don't invest in cent gear unless you have the extra gil.
