To the rdms who beat this guy ^^

how did you beat him??

I have read on some stuff and tried twice but lost to the old man real quick.... :shock:

bah im only 7k away from Lv 71 too ; ;

A couple of warnings.

When you entered the BC, consider that maat already have 1 buff on him. This could be blink, stoneskin, or other stuff. There is a chance that he has blink, so I suggest you simply use a nuke or something (or melee if you want) to determin that. Sleep has a long recast time so its not advisable starting with it. (unless of course you manage to see what buff he casted first)

One method is simply rely on your sleep. You have 2 places which are critical. The start when you actually sleep him to remove his buffs and 2ndly when he activates his chain spell. (You just don't want him spamming spells while hitting you for 100s) Key to victory is actually landing 6~7 times with your aeroIII which totals roughly 2100 ish damage.

The other method is just spam aeroIII right from the begining using your chainspell from the very start. Usually goes Chainspell > dispell till shell4 goes off and spams aeroIII > Convert > continue with aeroIII using vile elixirs if aplicable.

My way? I don't advise it. I actually didn't use Chainspell. Yep you heard me, no chain spell used. Spell I used were Bind, Paralise, Slow, Blind, Dispell, Sleep, SleepII, Blink, Stoneskin and AeroIII. I simply Binded, paralised, Slowed and blinded and used AeroIII > Sleep > if resist bind and repeated 7 times. No items used appart from roranberry pie. I had no resist on any spells with 39int I had. Paralise, Slow, Blind worked wonders.
I even managed to screw his asuran fist by just binding him.

Basically Rdm or any maat fight has alot of Luck issues. Really depends on what he does. Sometimes its a cake and you wonder how you lost against him for so many times. Other times he is so frigging hard that you want to throw your keyboard at the monitor. The pain of rdm is actually having to get those testimonies from pots. Which I managed to solo the Ugalepi one with quite ease.
