Recollection of Suffering

That is one of the 3 new recollections you can trade to the Alchemist in Ru'lude Garden to get a Rare/ex item, one being the Hayamuyi, that bow I am looking for.

What I am wondering is where to get that recollection. So, has anyone here came accross one of them? Especially the Suffering of course. Is it drop from one of the NM in promy? Is it from a ENM fight (I don't think so, but who knows) or is it from promy-Vhazl?

Any info on getting the REcollection of Suffering would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
 
I recall reading somewhere (can't remember >.<) that if you trade the "Remnant of xxx" from the 3 NMs in Mea, Dem and Holla to the corresponding "???" in Promy-Vahzl a NM will pop. This NM drops the rare/ex items you need for the bow.

You can find some interesting things from poking around eLeMeN. While I can't quite translate which series of NMs you need to kill for which item, I *can* tell you that the three possible rewards (one for each recollection) are:

- Dia Wand (club, level 40 WHM, 11/216, enhances "Cure" effect, enhances "Dia" effect)
- Stone Gorget (neck, level 39 all jobs, 4 defense, enhances "Stoneskin" effect)
- Hamayumi (bow, level 30 WAR/RDM/THF/PLD/DRK/BST/RNG/SAM/NIN, 42/524, racc +10 vs. Empty, ratk +10 vs. Empty)

All are rare-ex, and all are reasonably nice, especially for the level at which you can use them. However, the general process is:

- Kill NM in Promyvion-Dem/Holla/Mea, hope it drops "Remnant of ____". Drop is not guaranteed, though it's not rare either. NM is likely to drop memosphere for respective Promyvion's map too.

- Go to Promyvion-Vahzl, find correct ??? for the remnant, trade it to spawn another NM. Hope *this* one drops "Recollection of ____". Drop is not guaranteed, unsure on rarity. NM (no matter which of the three you spawn) is also likely to drop memosphere for Vahzl's map.

- Go to Ru'Lude Gardens and trade the Recollection to Harith for the appropriate one of the above items. Each Recollection matches one specific one of the items (and similarly it's dropped by an NM from a specific Remnant), I just can't properly translate which is which.

In other words, to get these items, you need a group that a. has Promyvion-Vahzl access and b. is willing to not only spend time in level-capped Promyvions, but to fight two reasonably difficult NMs. (Neither of which is guaranteed to drop what you want.)

The hardest part, if you ask me, would be to find a group of people willing to do this. The actual process doesn't sound too bad for an organized group. Not much different from Tu'Lia gods, really, except you're level-capped for the process. (Oh noes, can't use uber level 75 gear, the horror.)

Hunt trigger-NM (except one which isn't guaranteed to drop the trigger), go somewhere else and trade trigger to spawn another NM, kill it and hope for the drop you want.

In the process, at least, you'll probably be able to get maps for some (or if it takes many attempts, most or all) of the people who go along.
 
Know everything? No. Have a good idea of where to look to find stuff out? Yes. :P
