Surprised this hasnt been put up yet, I've been getting really excited about this game. Open area word with up to 60 people free roaming.

Open world: It's the biggest and most action-packed world ever made. Experience a treacherous and unpredictable open world spanning miles of rugged terrain: from townships thriving on vice and corruption, ghost towns, gang hideouts, and military outposts to the mountains, deserts, and plains where violent looters, rebels, bandits, and deadly animals prey on the weak in a never-ending battle for survival.

A fight for survival: Betrayed by the government, his family kidnapped, former outlaw John Marston is forced to pick up his guns once again to track down and eliminate his former comrades-in-arms. Fight to survive the lawless frontier as you storm gang hideouts, search for treasure, rob or protect trains, and track criminals for bounty. Hunt animals for skins and duel enemies for money and fame, then risk your reputation and your winnings drinking, shooting, and gambling from town to town.

Gun battles: Take up arms in brutal battles, from intense personal duels to full-scale war using shotguns, pistols, sniper rifles, explosives, and the very first automatic weapons. Use a sharpshooter's Dead Eye skill to take down enemies with deadly accuracy in dramatic Western-style gunfights.

Honor or Infamy: Choose Honor or Infamy as you decide who to rescue and who to kill, opening up new opportunities with each decision you make.

I like how rockstar really pushes the envelope with how big they make their environments. The only downside is the bullsh*t scopes they put on their gun; the circle retina with the dot in the middle. Hasn't changed since like the original GTA on PS2. Fun games, but just feels a bit dated.. idk. Def. gonna check t his out tho, I like seeing what their team comes up with.
 
Had this paid for for a long while now and more than ready for it to land. I hated GTA but I can dig me some Cowboys and Elephant Rifles.
 
A friend just told me about this game, I knew it was coming, but didn't really even give it a second look. When he told me more about it and I looked at some of the vids, this game honestly looks pretty damn sweet. I can't wait for it to come out. Has there been a legit mmo shooter made before this? Cause to me it looks like the first.
 
I wouldn't call 8 mmo, really. Also, yeah, GTA IV, which this'll probably play out to be the same game, reskinned with few upgrades.
 
ive been drawn into the hype for this game, its gonna be awesome. I demo'd it a week ago and GTAIV it is not!

I pre ordered just don't know what system to get it for any opinions??
 
It's going to be very fucking hard to decide between this and Lost Planet 2.
Both for the PS3, obv.
 
Man, I remember when 60 players wasn't a big deal. With objectives.

Competitive MP was 4v4 last I checked. As for the free roam, that would hardly constitute an MMO experience. It's an open lobby where people shoot shit and that's it, you can't do quests or anything (also, 60 is not massive). That's why they are adding the co-op quests as DLC, because their isn't anything in free roam with a purpose.
 
last i checked, free roam is more than just a lobby with nothing to do...i mean, why would they add levels and experience to free roam with out anything to do but ride around and hunt? Form up a posse', do multi level gang hide out raids, hunt down and take out wanted fugitves, have posse stand offs and more, and thats just some of what is coming with the release, more is being added later that they have not revealed yet.

At first I didn't care about it cause I'm not a huge Wild West fan (usually cause the scenery feels bland and the stories are blander), but watching and reading more on this game... HOT DAMN! IT sounds fun as hell!!! I'm stoked!
 
I didn't really pay attention to this thread until yesterday when my coworker told me he was interested in it. We checked out all the trailers at the games website and I have to say that this looks pretty tight. I love how the blood splatters the screen when you hit someone in close quarters. Reminds me of Age of Conan.
 
Only three more days!! I'm wondering, I have some friends playing on ps3 and then some on 360 that are getting this. Will the servers be merged or will they be gay and separate them?
 
Three more days? what the heck kinda time are you on? I thought it comes out the 21st.

And servers are always separate between consoles. It's gay like that -_-

Silly Rabbit game's are for Tuesdays (on 9 out of 10 occasions).
 
Oh right I was looking at the wrong release date :D US = 18th, PAL = 21st :)
