Gonna have to wait 3-4 days to get a box to send out my system Then I have to wait 3-4 weeks before I get it back.

Also the game was inside, but the system can still open and close just not play games.
 
On a serious note my roommate's broke just a few days ago too. It's funny because I was starting to listen to "Yesterday" by the Beatles and it just fit with the mood perfectly. Seriously, someone needs to do a internet video showing some guy thinking about his broken 360 and the good times he had with it while it was still working and that song being the only audio like a music video.
 
If only i had a video camera, i would totally be all over that. Sadly the last one just got checked out from the lab here.
 
Gamestop, get a used xbox 360 cash.

Return it in 1 week I think is their return policy.

Hit up another store and use a different name / address when returning and get another.

Wash, rinse, repeat until your XBox is back.

You can also go to the same store when someone else is working if the person you got it from the time before isn't there when you get the new one or returning the old one.

Bring a friend and say it's theirs if they wanna be dicks or just take to a diff store. lol

That sucks dude.. I'm on my 3rd as well. Although I only got RRoD on the first box, which happened 6 months after launch purchase. They sent me a brand new unit, and that one lasted me up till about a month ago, when it started giving me disk read errors, and was overall really loud and making strange noices. Instead of waiting for the idiots to fix it, I just went out and bought a new 360. Now I just need to finally call in one day and have the other one sent in and fixed for a back up to my new one..lol.
 
I've had my xbox for a pretty good chunk of time and i keep it in about the shittiest conditions that you can. I feel really bad for the people that are on their 4th or 5th and actually try to take care of it.
 
I actually got the red rings last week and called up support. I got the box they want me to send the console in, but I used the towel trick to get it running since it's the holidays and I'll have a lot of time to play for the next week or so. I didn't want to send it in and wait a month because of the shipping traffic around these times.

Towel trick? O.o Is that where like "Towely" from Southpark stops over and you guys burn one, and pretend your 360 is working?(Remember kids, don't forget to bring a towel!!)

Me neither. Just sent my 6 month old elite off today. Gonna be awhile =/
