Ok, I tested Sublimation as a 75 WHM/SCH and a full charge have ne 204 MP. Didn't clock the time, but seemed liek it took a 1-2 min to fully charge that. And after you use the store it has a 35 sec recast before you can start charging.
What I'm wondering is if you kept sublimation charging as much as possible. Would be over time be more or less MP than Refresh? 1 Refresh cast = 150 MP iirc.

well I'm not good at math but I'm sure refresh is either

140 mp over a 3min period or 180mp over a 3min period

assuming 204 mp is the max you can get and assuming that it's draining the equivalent amount of hp then stoneskin(350hp cap) would make sublimation win due to a shorter timeframe and no mp used.

Which would result in lesser investment for rdm to use and allow more mp usage.

I called a GM about them not stacking he said they were designed that way :\

I get 276 MP returned on my 75whm/sch

stacks w/ ballad. HP% is also a modifier for Sublimation

Refresh returns 150MP over 2.5 min (not counting the 40MP casting cost)

So it seems this will become the promo sub job/ healing main job if you can not find a rdm or brd. Interesting indeed SE clever dogs they are.

Depend on how long it takes to drain 25% of hp does anyone know if having auto regen makes it twice as long since its only 1hp a tic then?

Also I tried resting with regen didn't work but stoneskin does eat it

It takes the same time, it's as if it were taking 2 HP away and you get 1HP for auto-regen, so it evens out.

I get back arround 300'ish with my AF Hat on my 73 sch with rdm sub. Stacks with Ballads and Rolls, doesn't stack with refresh, even after you're charge is finished.

Love the fact it doesn't go away with zoning/logging, btw.

Sounds like SE realy hit a home run with this addition to scholar. While it wont replace RDM refresh it is always nice to have a few more options.

as in refreshing yourself? or others with /sch at high levels using sublimation?

It's usuable once every 1-2mins or when the charges come back right so it replaces refresh?

then it should replace refresh i think, hp is only important to keep alive and to use for convert so you shouldn't need to refresh anymore with sublimation assuming it keeps its current form.

it could be better for mages to sub /sch at 70 + and just keep tabs on hp or use it as a trigger for sorcerer's, uggh, etc.

so technically this ability could undermine/improve/do away with the refresh cycle at merit/high level pts.

This ability sounds like a ghetto convert with a hint of Devotion.

Sounds like you could throw in Regen (of whatever tier) to kinda even out HP loss control. If that makes sense.

Well this does look an interesting option for my Whm indeed I guess time to jump on the bandwagon, I unlocked SCH finally last night, now off to slog the lower levels again.. lol

Easiest way to negate the HP down damage is w/ Stoneskin, providing your using a a main or sub job that provides it, Stoneskin absorbs the damage. What I was wondering was suppose you had the option of either Sublimation or Refresh. Which one would be better over time?

sublimation, the duration exceeds refresh at a lesser price when one could use stoneskin29mp-net gain(can be as much as 200+ at higher) or use refresh for 40 - 190mp.

it's only a slight issue with jobs without stoneskin but resting helps that issue

Plus having it stored for as long as you want, even previous to battles is a merit, like a reserve tank, just waiting there.

This is where I think it really shines. Charge it up before something and use it when you need it.
