Honestly I'm drunk and about to go to bed. But I haven't seen one good argument so far against my position maybe when I wake up someone intelligent will have posted something.
 
So because you're drunk and tired, that permits you to make yourself and your shell (whom you are representing by speaking so frequently in defense of the actions taken) look like assholes. Personally, I believe you should rethink your approach to the situation.
 
Like someone mentioned scheduling on QCDN is a courtesy. Even IF the JP shell visited QCDNs dynamis scheduling forum and DID see your shell had "allotted" that time frame, that means sweet fuck all to them.

If they don't recognize this forum as an "official guideline" for FFXI activities, then they can rain ALL over your parade. Yeah that would make them assholes, but everyone in your shell that DID participate after the whole /vote spiel are assholes too.

Visa Versa, they make the mistake of trading to someone in your shell, and you guys act like douches because you're insulted they got there first and COULD have seen your shell wanted the zone at that time. So a portion of your shell decides to be douches back. Great, juvenile behavior all around. Chalk it up to a bad run.

You got some shit, they got some shit. You say for the most part the run went relatively well what with cooperation. Good.

Nope not at all I can't stand stupidity and so far that's all the responses I've gotten so far in this thread. I'm not speaking for my shell, other members have posted and gave their opinion on what happen. I've also stated earlier that not all members participated I figured with your post count and pretty little liaison tag you would read before you post.

So in your opinion I'm an asshole, good, fine, don't party with me I've played this game for almost 5 years on the same server and have many people who will vouch for me. I'll help with anything but try to screw me or my friends over and I'm gonna stand up for myself

So a NA shell can do the same and won't get flamed by the QCDN community?

I didn't say that now did I? You can assume that's my stand regarding any and all shells.

Not all NA shells are devout QCDN users. The difference is, IF a NA shell pulled the same stunt being QCDN users and posting Dyanmis schedules that conflicted with another QCDN Dynamis Scheduled shell, then by all means flame away.

I've asked the question before about scheduling on this forum. It's simple, a large portion of Server patrons use QCDN, but not all.

Once it was stated that a portion of your shell decided to start entering the zone BEFORE the vote was taken whether your shell wanted to proceed, it negated all bitching and name calling.

Pricks making a Prick move countered by another Prick move. Honestly, what should we make of it?

I'll repeat this again for you since obviously you didn't understand. They let you lot as a last resort because obviously they did not want to lose 500k. You entered and stole a zone, you didn't do right, and even members that were in your shell were disgusted at your actions, why cant you see this?

Now maybe I don't know how to read but from what I gather from this previous thread is that if someone steals your dynamis zone after checking QCDN and knowing full well that you reserved the zone that makes then the asshole.

Now back to my second post in this thread where I linked that picture, you can clearly see where a Japanese LS member named GED says "YourLS change to Xarcabard next Saturday.no conflict" Since pics don't lie I'll only use this as an example there was more things said that I don't have pics of but regardless. How could they know there was no conflict next Saturday if they hadn't checked QCDN?

Just fyi what Ged meant was that they wont jump in on xarc next week (sat) if you left without STEALING THEIR ZONE today. but oh wait you did steal their zone so "you broke the agreement" or something to that extent.

They didn't like what happened and many logged on the spot. I'll be surprised if they don't leave the shell because of it.

Back when GP still did pick-up Xarcs we ran into a shell that saw us gathered en masse and had a member run up and break glass with only like, three people representing them while the rest of the shell hauled ass across Xarc to enter. It was a pretty dick thing to do considering we all had /seacomup and were clearly planning on going. They saw people there, rushed and cut down on their own time by breaking glass before being gathered.

Naturally, I have no clue if this was the same group or anything, but its not like JP dyna shells are spotless and pristine. Who knows, maybe this whole thing was a kickback from some built up karma. /newage

Seem to be fine examples of the shady business done in your LS (Nothing person Khaj just is good info) I lead my shells so those who want stuff don't have to sign their soul away to end game shells and no one gets any bonuses not even myself.


In the end, it was near 2 A.M. and we knew nothing was going to get accomplished because most of the linkshell can't wait to start dynamis @ 5 in the morning and we're going to have to log off regardless if we did a city or not; on the other hand, the JP's had all day/evening/night to come back since they were on the "golden week" holiday. What I don't understand is why did they bother asking if anyone will be in the area if they weren't going to honor the group anyways? I normally get along quite well with Japanese players but thats a handful that I wouldn't mind seeing commit suppuku over a game.

As has been stated, I used to lead pick up runs and we would honor shells and let them go and not try to ninja the zone/wait the 3 hours if we had to almost like a form of ettiquite or something. However, last night there was no agreement besides I said the shell wishes not to /random.

Most people logged because the zone was capped out @64 and wasn't going to be able to enter anyways.

Is this getting to the point of the games life where we should all start becoming like Absolution and do zones whenever we'd like and not give a fuck about anyone else? North American and Japanese GM's seem to approve it. In retrospect, I hope we can all still continue to work together as we have been for the past 6 years JP and NA alike but don't be surprised when you spit on someones face that they spit back.
 
Also just to add some irony, the group in question "teamPAYITFORWARD" most definitely did not pay it forward ;[

Whether or not people agree on what some members of this LS did was wrong... that was an example of dhouchebaggery on the JP ls' part. Yea, it's not law, but they knew another LS would be there, they could have checked for a free zone.

Seeing you shoulder your way into another shells area and forcing them to either give you stuff or gtfo cause you're going anyways is just disappointing.

I don't know what this thread is supposed to prove really, not that I mind it, but in general I believe there was two options let them walk all over us like some shells have been doing to other shells lately or fight back. If you don't want to be treated like a doormat it's best not to present yourself as a doormat.

We've worked for 5 months with members coming and going and this was to be our 1st Xarca members were pissed along with it being late in the night as it is they got a bit of (legal) retaliation.

Can ask any of my members (dyna or sea) or people I've worked with, I'm fairly easy to work something out with and am really more lenient than I should be, but I won't let people treat my linkshells or it's members wrongly without thinking a second time about it.

Previously, I would had said lets just do something else/canceled if time permitted, but we've all been seeing how well that works. We fought back and well it's too early to see if there will be an ongoing dynamis-lolwar but I doubt it.

Wrong as it is that this bullshit happened in the first place, the sheer amount of jackassery and hypocrisy in this thread is staggering, and I wonder really how much of it is lost on most people.
