Registry Edit - How can you undo without resinstallation?

Not quite. If system restore points are enabled on the computer (which is the default for Windows XP), there will be copies of the registry in the (usually) C:\System Volume Information\ directory, which is hidden. You can go to start > programs > accessores > system tools > system restore, and you can roll the registry back to any of the dates listed.

oh well yea IF u set up restore points, if ur not runnin xp and u dont set up a restore point (which any everyday user will not think to do) then yea theres nothing u can do if u delete something

Which is why I pointed out that restore points are enabled by default in Windows XP. Most people also have automatic updates turned on, as well, which will create restore points before installation, assuming that you haven't purposely turned the system restore feature point off.

FFXI doesn't run on anything else but XP and Vista for PC. SE has even said they will never support Mac OS. XI may run on something lower than XP, but I doubt it. I think the original box even says Windows XP OS. I haven't looked in so long.

My solution (even though you fixed it) get a new graphics card and run that 2080 res.

I believe it works on Windows for Workgroups 3.11 too.

Dunno if already mentioned or not, in the registry you can "export" aka making a backup. So if you mess anything up, just inport it and back to normal.
