Least a Collector's Edition for PC releasing 8 days earlier, which Amazon just e-mailed me about ordering.

Meh. I planned on buying the PS3 version of the game which means I'd have to wait 5-6 months. Sooooooooooo I'm not sure what I'm going to do then.

Also, pricing, retainers, FFXIII campaign code DLC, and pre-order freebie.

The monthly subscription fee will be £8.99 (€12.99) with additional characters available for £2.10 (€3.00) a month. A maximum of eight characters can be registered on any one account.

Each account is eligible for one free retainer (a non-playable character that maintains item sales and storage when users are logged out) with each additional retainer costing £0.70 (€1.00).

A beta version of the PC game will go live some time in early July. It will become available to pre-order with key retailers at some point today. Those who pre-order will receive another in-game freebie – a pair of Garlond Goggles that increases the speed at which characters progress.

Those who register their FFXIII Campaign Codes will receive the Asuran Armguards DLC, an extra that improves the effectiveness of tools.

I wonder if its the same date in US...

I still have a huge dilemma - someone help me! I don't know whether to preorder it as NA (to use with my FFXI account), or if I should make it in a separate EU account to get it earlier (would take like 5 days to get NA version shipped to Sweden) as well as to use it with my FFXIII code :(

HELP PRZ?!

I might just make a poll for it :( I'mma go order EU version right now though to ensure my copy - I can cancel it later if I change my mind <.<

Worldwide yeah, September 30th for EU, JP, NA.

At this point I hope that's a fake SE twitter and it's all a lie and PS3 and PC are releasing worldwide on the same day, but it's not.

September 30th, 2010 for PC worldwide is what Tiael said.

Also, $3 for another character, but $1 for a retainer? Ew, kinda.

Least you get a 1 free retainer, that's all I need.
I hope they do a CE of the PS3 version in March that has the same items the PC CE will.

Yeah, worldwide for PC, here's a link to the JP FFXIV About Page
http://jp.finalfantasyxiv.com/#/about/game_info

Lists 9/30 for the Standard and 9/22 for the Collector's Edition PC, with no mention of PS3.

Maybe March 2011 will change to something sooner for PS3.

$3 a month per additional character with a max of 8, $1 a month per additional retainer.
$12.99 monthly fee.

Collector's Edition retails for $74.99 and standard $49.99.

Edit: Collector's Edition available for pre-order on Amazon, case shown.

Really want the Collector's Edition. But sad that a Brady guide isn't included... that's what's putting me off from that. However, overall EXCITED! Even though I'll be really busy with school + wedding planning (wedding's a few weeks after release date). So can't really enjoy the game for a while. booo :(

Why would you want a brady guide, so you won't miss out on all of the woefully inaccurate information of how to play the game?

BST/BLM baby: hack, nuke, and sic, all in one!

Sick! Really didn't think I'd be playing this until November-December. kinda hopping I don't get into college this September... heh.

Because, what is FF MMO without the Brady guide experience?! THE ULTIMATE GUIDE EVER!

Honestly, it'd just be to laugh at and for old memories' sake.

You should re-evaluate what you said right there <_<

As for me, I still haven't decided if I wanna play or not. I'll let the beta decide I guess.

I wouldn't turn down school, I would just not be as sad.

Looks like I have to upgrade to collectors for the PC!

Aw boo. I am very disappointed that PS3 isn't being launched with the PC version. My computer can't even handle FFXI -.-

If i play my plan was to buy ps3 and pirate PC that way id have access to it on both. So much for that plan <_<

Will be definitely buying all versions of this when it comes out, If SE decide to do a CE release on PC here.
