Religious Propaganda / Advertising

No just no. Over 10k people did put Jedi as their religion on the last census, however it was not and is not recognised by the Government as a religion.

Really? Lame i was informed that they accepted it as over 10k people put it down. I think the rule still applies to non-ficticious religions though.

Oh well. If there is no beer drinking in roy count me out.

Right fair enough. Tbh they could probably find 10k geeks that believe star wars is real and worship jedism lol.

Hmm wonder what crazy religions there are out there.

Beer isn't considered a sin in Royism though is it? If not, I'm probably in.

So what do we do all day in Royism? Smoke pot and get in drum circles?

Beer isn't a sin, drink all the alchy you want, it's just not a requirement. Royism doesn't tell you not to do anything, we leave that up to the discretion of the individual. However if you're caught listening to pop music or anything I deem shitty in the holy temple of my house you will be forced to drink the Kool-aid....

What we do here all day as Royists is we start off each day with a wake and bake, then we watch TV, listen to music, surf the interwebs, and play video games, with more smoking dispersed throughout the day.

Oh you don't have to worry about the pop thing with me! But... is psychedelic trance ok? I'm a little phished out lately and I got tired of the dead a few years back.

I suggest we educate our members with a yearly showing of "reefer madness" for a good chuckle as well.

It doesnt matter if you're Christian or not to those kinda people. They will still annoy the crap out of you. Bermuda has one of the highest churches per capita in the world(to my knowlege) and we still have to deal with Jehova's witnesses ect.
Theres at least 1-2 churches every mile in any direction AND the school assembly halls get used for church services. We dont need to have you deliver any religious propoganda to us. Next time those Morman missionaries try to bug me again(they somehow run into me every year about the same time no matter what location i'm at or hour of the night) I am going to ask them why they chose a country where theres a church uproad, down the road, to the left of me with 2 other masses being held on saturday/sunday in a school next to the backyard to try and spread the word of God. People still have a morning prayer when a school assembly is called. The only place where it could possibly get any stupider to try and spread the word of god would be in the Vatican.

People spreading religious propoganda were created to just annoy everyone regardless of religion IMO.

If you guys show the Reefer Madness musical, I will gladly join this new religion as well.

Mormons that go door to door to "educate" people about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints are quite a bunch. I had a few of them accost me while I was washing my car a few years ago. They gave me their whole rant about it but I zoned out and thought about what I was going to eat but gave them the occasional nod and "ok" during their waste of breath. After a couple of minutes I told them thank you but no thank you. They asked if I knew anyone that would be interested in hearing about their crap and I pointed them in the direction of a neighbor who was a paranoid Vietnam vet drug addict. I mean this neighbor would stand outside his apartment which I thought he was doing tai chi or some shit but was more than likely his heroine trip. In any case, I have yet to see any other Mormons since that instance thankfully.

On a lighter note, Mormons are the most 1337 DD's in RL (DD= designated driver)

My favourite religious propaganda are the little comic books. I don't remember what they're called off hand, but I know you can find them online.

My two favourites have to be the one about how Dungeons and Dragons is actually a cult that teaches you real evil magic and involves selling your soul, and the other one about "The Truth about Halloween" where the teenagers go to a cabin and get killed by Satan or something to that extent. It's been awhile so the actual storylines might not be the same as I remember them, but are close enough. Good times!

My best friend growing up was from a really religious family. Way out there Southern Baptist. Whenever we played video games, his mom would come in and watch and usually tell us to stop playing those "devil games." He couldn't listen to normal music. He got ahold of a James Brown tape and was ecstatic... James Brown... in the early 90s... Come on...

His parents basically said everything he did was evil, etc. Last I heard he founded a cult because "angels were talking to him through email." Wacko extremism begets the same. :nono:

I also do consider myself non-denominational Christian, but I keep my views to myself. They're my business and that's pretty much where it stops. If someone comes and pushes THEIR religion in my face, I don't care what they believe, I will tell them to fuck off without hesitation.

Don't like the fact I'm gay? Fine; I don't care. Tell me I'm going to suffer for it and/or use it as an excuse for why "God" doesn't think its right? Fuck you and the self-righteous horse you rode in on.

You're mistaken. I said psychedelic trance. Not that candycane regular club trance shit. That's like club pop.

I guess I'd have to let you hear some.

I haven't seen reefer madness in MUCH too long. Probably last time I watched it was 6 years ago or so. :(

You talkin about stuff like Paul Oakenfold? Or is that the club pop bullshit? I really have no idea about any of it, I don't generally listen to the stuff.

Well, he's a solid dj, but no.

I'm talking more about DNA, Raja Ram, Infected Mushroom, GMS, etc. Surprisingly, Israel and Eastern Europe make a lot of good shit. I guess because things suck there. lol.

It's a lot more... chaotic and dark I guess. Sometimes more tribal. Really depends on the artist. The coolest cd I bought recently was made by some DJ in South Africa.

I hate tribal sounding stuff, but I might look into some of the other stuff you mentioned, dark and chaotic is cool. Trance, be it any kind, goes against me and my metal beliefes, but it sounds cool when your stoned, so owell.

There's too many variations and genres in the broad term techno to really classify anything as the same as something else...

Don't know how to explain it... techno in general these days is more or less just enjoying the sound you hear and not giving a fuck who made it, or what clique it belongs to. There's several styles I like personally but even in those styles there tends to be a lot of variation.

What is this club pop bullshit though? I'm not sure what style you're thinking of. The only "candycane" style that comes to mind is Euro, and I hardly feel that is very popular in clubs, at least in America.

It's kind of a shame that the only club music around these areas is rap, and really no good way to dance to it, either. I'll take real dance music anyday =[, House, Breaks, Trance, maybe some DnB if i'm in the mood preferrably.
