Remake Rumor: Final Fantasy IV DS

What's with you and these rights things? IV, V, and VI have been ported to the PSX before. There's nothing stopping them from porting it to the PSP unless they feel that it wouldn't be worth it.

It's why they're remaking FF's for that. And why games like Dragon Quest IX are being made for it, cause it's the most popular gaming device worldwide atm, and thus the best to make money on, plus cheaper development costs than a console, and Yuji Hori said DQ would always go to the most popular, VIII on PS2, IX on DS, wonder what we'll see X on, I'm leaning towards Wii atm.
 
that's bad policy I think, lol.. ah well. I wish companies would make games for multi-systems (or when it comes to computers, like Blizzard :P they aren't lazy and make hybrid games).

Because the DS is the top seller in Japan by a long shot. It's also the top seller here in the States as well.

It would just cost them extra by making it for the PSP/playstation 2.
 
Wait.. playstation 2? The PS2 STILL out sells all the other consoles on the market.. lol. And if they just ported them as they did, they wouldn't really even need to do much. If they were remaking them, sure that'd be a bit more, but in the end it'd make them more money. Quite a bit more money.

The DS is popular, no doubt, but SE can still take a look at how many sales have been made of the PSP/PS2/XBox/whatever. Hell, I doubt they'd even need to spend all that much money on making versions for those consoles. The people they'd pay are already on the pay roll so coding payment prolly wouldn't be the problem. Manufacturing and shipping also wouldn't be entirely too much compared to the money made from selling them for 50 bucks (if they are remakes, prolly about 30 if they were just ports would most likely mean far less coding work anyways). If they have good people (which I'm betting they do) they could make, easily enough, and ship out the correct number of products so they at least sell most of them off and makes a profit. I say it's just laziness... LAZY! Blizzard's not that lazy :| (I <3 Blizzard)
 
I think it looks great and all, but it wasn't that long ago that I gave SE my 30 or 35$ for FF4 GBA.

I LOVE the FF3 remake so that is some incentive to get the FF4 3d remake for the DS. But still...how much must they milk out. And one of those links mentioned the person saying "why not a chrono trigger remake, why just FF?" I couldn't agree more.

is it me or does Cecil's Seiyu sound just almost exactly like Masi Oka.
If it is hell im buying it! idc if it isn't, I'll still buy
