I ended up scoring about 600k in gear when it was all said and done....not even 5 hrs of game play and I was rich. Got Mariox to sell most of it for me in Jeuno lol.

I remember unlocking smn, I already had my carby ruby and I had to go collect all the elements (fire was the hardest D:) I remeber someone helping me get tons of fame for windy with the corenettes, and I asked for help for Ramuh and Ifrit prime xD I didn't know you had to be high leveled to fight them. But Neogearzx and his gf helped me (thank you so much :D) and I got those two avatars at like level 2 smn xD!

I remember soloing the rest of them, Titan was my first and he took me about 2 tries, Garuda I got on my first try and I was so happy not to have to rebuy items for her. Shiva was the hardest for me..took me about 6 tries and I remember getting her and I started shouting lol I was really happy. For Leviathan I died once, but I found a new strategy besides the 3 SL method and I won.

I remember thinking Astral FLow was the most powerful thing ever :P
 
I remember starting as level 1 blm, and i didn't know how to equip anything, or use any spells. I figured i just learned them when i levelled. Soooo i walked out into sarutabaruta and started meleeing a bumblebee and lost... twice. Lol.
 
I remember starting as a elvaan...getting my drk to lvl 53 before realizing taru was better and switching!
I rmbr eco-warriors lol.... and I rmbr the good ole trains and ppl shouting to zone.
I rmbr my first and by far favorite ls before almost everyone in it quit ; ;
I rmbr those lvl 1-10 parties in Ghelsba! And wiping a lot lol
I rmbr first day I joined, some fisherman gave me (then I was Jice) 10k as a start off and I was sooo excited...forgot who that was though :( Whoever you were....thanks! ^^
 
i remember selling everything to NPC for the first week i played before finding out there was an auction house.

i remember not using the mog house the first month i had the game.

i remember spending all of my 400k on an emperor's hairpin, my first big purchase. ( i still have it. )

i remember when no wyrms were killed on our server, and they were always up to see.

i remember doing cop when it first came out, when only a handful of people were past promyvions.

i remember owning roc/simurgh for a very long time with my friends arwyn, benjoboy, ekin, and myself. 1/19 on healing staff, i think we got around 10 d. ingots. simurgh dropped boots 3 times in one week once, with no competition, and 5 person kill. i think we got a total of 6 strider boots before we started getting search stalked by BOL and they brought the army out and made it very difficult for us to claim. that birdy made me uber rich at the time :)

I remember being a level 5 blm and some level 16 female taru (she wanted me) lured me onto the selbina ship with her. I ended up setting my hp in the dunes.... Cant remember how I got out of there.

My first real party in the canyon. Some ranger was running around and I just had to sit and wait!!! Then all these dings and whistles were going off "Pulling Yagudo whatever"... wtf is pulling? I thought they were awesome.

Being a blm and not knowing what MB meant. I saw a lot of w~ .

And finding that one sarutabaruta tower with all the cardians. I thought the whole zone would be the same like in other final fantasy's....spent and hour trying to get past the "3" cards just to find the "4" cards and dying horribly.

When the minor towns had no beggars

Lastly I remember when killing Kirin was a huge accomplishment.
 
Used to want to be a BLM really really bad so it was my first job. I remember harvesting in sarutabaruta and train farming for all of my gil. Used to go out on saru in full field set and watch fireworks. If I ever come back I will level blm to 75...

When I used to level thf...got leapers of the lizard at lvl 16 after I did a whole lvl off the lizards there, this was when lizzy was still hella camped. Getting empy pin at lvl 45. CCing Flameass at JEJ.

Bibiki Bay when I first got Leave. Cocalcola tunnels and Rolanberry Fields pre leave as BST. My Alraune buddies on purgonorgo.

When it would take hours sitting in jeuno to see a 75 and it was like "holy shit". And when people still wore there AF1 (like mediocre pieces) at 75.

Before there were even wyrms ;p (minus faf/nid, but back then it might as well have been)

High level shells started at lvl 55 or so...

When 400k from leapers made you super rich

When Simurgh was a big deal...

I remember being soooo proud of my new stonega spell as 16 blm, and using on the mob we were fighting at Oasis in Dunes. Score: Leeches 6, Party 0, with all my dead mates telling me just EXACTLY what they thought of my new spell! :)

I remember what it was like to have to plan for trained mobs wandering back from zone to their original spawn points. I actually kinda miss that little danger point (but not the mpk's and not the people who trained mobs just to screw people over).

I remember being scared to death to try to make the run thru Buburimu to Mhaura to get the ferry. I didn't even know sneak oils and prism powders existed then!

I remember my first choco ride from Jeuno to Windurst, during which I was gleefully thumbing my nose at all the gobs and yags, and telling my shellmates alllllll about it! lol they indulged me.

I remember sitting at the far end of Korroloka Tunnel as 30 whm, not knowing where to go or what to do from there, and scared to venture out (I didn't learn to access or use online info till sometime after that). My shellmates came to the rescue and escorted me to get Altepa crystal and maps. Thanks, Domi and Naughtydawg, I will be forever grateful! I've tried to always return the favor to others since then.

I remember the guy, an impossible-t-gauge 55 war, who, out of the kindness of his heart, took me, Kink and a couple of others to get our stuff for the Kazham Airship pass. Lotsa choco rides, new cities, new areas! My eyes were soooo big! Afterwards, we all chipped in to get him a single Meat Chiefkabab - the most we could afford - to tell him thanks!

Those are just a few of the times....

I remember first day out i was whm and i was having a hell of a time lvling kept dieing i was getting so fustrated and then i meet Jac. He was a War so we teamed up and this team worked way better.

Few days later i meet Greco and Sep i was higher lvl then Greco one time ever i can say that lol. Anyway We the adventures that we where decided to go from Selbina to Mhara well we get on the boat and didn't know anything about a sea horror lmao. I was the first out the door wham dead Greco right behind me wham dead and Sep in pt mode going why are you guys dead then him running out to see what killed us and wham dead i think the whole ship that day was laying dead. That day has to be the one i remember anytime i get on that ship. Sep he left game and Greco went on to be a high lvl pld left me in the dust. But he stayed my friend =).

Then I remember i ran past this guy in La thien and he sends me a tell hey i like you and asks me to join his ls Mase was his name now know as Lenox. In mase's ls i meet some of the best ppl and my best friend there Rowdair. Mase left the game for awhile ls died and i got invite to another ls i wont mention names but in this ls i meet Azafaraht, Ogami, Uddy, Grimmbean and others. They all are the best also good ppl. I think back now that and the fun i had with Greco and Sep will be the times i remember more then any on this game. I miss them very much.

LOL i remember was my 1st or 2nd time on the ship and a " high lvl " <he was like a lvl 50 war or something I thought he was a god lol> he told me to stay inside the ship ,of course i ventured out to the upper deck and i provoked the sea horror with out checking it it hit me once took like 80% hp from me i ran back to the lower decks and it follow and killed me there everyone laughed . the more i read peoples post on this thread the more i start to remember little things like this I am glad to see I'm not the only one who did noobish stunts back then lol of course on occasin i still pull a noobish stunt but i have FUN something some people forget to have back then it was all fun and most of the time it still is for me

i remember when i was getting my elemental staves, i thought i could never afford them, i bought 4, (actually 3..1 was a birthday gift) and the other 4 i found out a crafter makes them, I got this from Lyrai and Starfyre made them..and I paid 40k for the staves, 10k each..i was so happy.

temptation of attacking a tabar beak... There's 12 of us... we're bad ass lvl 20's.... we can take it!

I remember finding the "run" button. Instruction books are for assholes.
