what do you guys think of people who take revenge on others who did them wrong? for example, a BoK LS member (I will not say who) was in boyahda tree. he found aquarias and was about to fight it then a JP PT came by and deliberately stole it from him. they were lauguing at him afterwards! anyway, later that wekk, he found the puller lvling in quifim island. he decided to trainna kraken:

shit, to be continued, shcool bell rang!
 
There is no excuse or justification for intentionally training someone. At least that's the way I see it.
 
If I did something shitty to another player and they tried to take revenge on me, I would see it as karma - and bend over.

If you are deliberately being a dick to someone, you deserve a little carnage taken upon you in return. :twisted:
 
I believe that revenge is okay but I tend to hold grudges for all of .2 seconds.
 
As long as they did it to screw him out of the NM go for it, although it's too bad it wasn't Gustav tunnel.... then you could train Guivre to em :D not even a call for help will save them then :twisted:

NM= Free Game

If that was the case I would spend WAY too much of my time seeking revenge on the people who "stole" LL, JEJ, VE, Hoo, Mee Deggi, .....from me!!! Those BASTARDS!!

First off, there's no such thing as "stealing" an NM. Only exception is the NM's where an item needs to be traded to spawn the NM.

Secondly, I agree with sculli. Training is just pure wrong. Your friend was far more in the wrong here.

Thirdly, they probably saved your friend a Death. Unless you are a VERY good, high-level Nin, I dont think you can solo aqaurious very easily.
 
Actually there is a case in which you can steal NM's;

---- Spikes + Cure -- = Hate transfer and damage, thus claimed.

Its a bitch, Ive never had it done to me but Ive heard a godawful lot of people trying to kill Leaping Lizzy and this trick done upon them.

GM's might have fixed it by now though. ::shrugs and returns to his paper::
 
It is for reasons such as this, that we have this flameboard.
Take no revenge in game, however, if revenge is in order, post the name and situation of the offender.
With around 700 members here, chances are someone will give him a hard time about it down the line :wink:
 
A small party of JP did something like this to me. I'm a complete and total ass when it comes to NMs now because of this, but I never EVER would stoop as low as they did.

Namely, I had aquarius to myself, was holding him till my LS showed up. They tried having BSTs train crabs into the hallways so i'd get aggro, I managed to avoid this.

Next, my LS showed up, and we had the fight goin on for a good time, our NIN eventually lost his flow and died, everyone zoned and I went back to kiting. Now this time I still had the claim on it, but as I turned the corner in one of the tunnels, there was that JP party that had been watching us like hawks... standing in my way and blocking the passage. Needless to say I died quickly, and they stole it and started shit with us as I was being raised.

GM didn't do jack. JP for teh win.
 
Revenge is revenge. You are doing it because someone wronged you.
You are either and eye for an eye kind of person or not.

Although little things I can forgive. If someone pisses me off (Batcheporu*LOSER!!), then I have no problem running a train of dragons right up their asses.
See my Batcheporu thread. I actually exacted a certain amount of revenge that night in game. I also put him on /blist and now people are giving him hell because they have had similar experiences and have seen the thread. That's revenge enough for me. Although, I will probably continue to do "annoying" things to the bastard as long as I play.
 
Well as far as revenge is concerned I consider it fair game. In a game I consider an eye for an eye fair game. You fuck me over then you better be prepared to get it paid back twice as hard. Sure it seems petty but hell you only brought it on yourself.

Keep in mind that I am a very easygoing person and it really takes a lot to piss me off to the point of taking revenge, so if you get me to that point your sure as hell deserve what ever you get.

I believe the Governor of California said it best when asked what is good in life he replied. "To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of the women!"

I am the very same way. It takes a lot for me to get angry. When I do, I don't realize that I am screaming at the top of my lungs and unloading all then pent up rage that took me over the brink until it's over and I've freaked the living daylights out of whoever pissed me off.

Another indirect way to piss me off, is when I am very hungry. I get really quiet and I don't say anything until spoken to. But say something that ticks me off, and I go off the deepend. I wonder if I turn Green. hehe.

The last time this happened was 2 years ago. But boy did I feel good. hehe

anyway, i wasnt finished typing! ugh, lol sculli, i cant edit the first post ; ;
as I was saying, he found out the guy was lvling his lower lvl job in quifim Island, and he went there. after a while he told us he had found a kraken and needed help finding the guy. I wsnt doing anything so I went. I walked aorund the lake and the entrance camp, but he wasnt there. then I went to <lower defaulkts tower> entrace and Voila! he was there. He was surronded by about 15-22 inoccent ppl. I told my friend this and he said np, he would raise any and all those who would surely die. He was about to bring the kraken when a giant and a clipp agroed a guy and he zoned. I told him to stop while I foguht the hunter. It was there that I saw ayatollah hanging out^^ anyway, I kept an eye on the victim. After another ghoul agroe, I coundt find the guy anymore. It turns out that one of his JP friends had warned him about my friend. Im not sure why but my friend and these JP have a long history, and not a pleasent one. After the scaredy cat zoned to port jeuno my friend relased the kraken in the small path that leads to a red cave or something, around f-8. my friend left and the kraken was killed by some high lvl whm. My friend has vowed he will get the guy someday, o if your in qufim island plz be on the look out^^ (im not going to gove the name out because he is a very good friend of mine, and I dont want any of you bothering him)

No, if they try to fuck you, then they take the risk of geting payback.
 
i agree with Mohoso. if that NM hasn't been claimed... then it's a free for all. i remember this BST was soloing him and he was about to die, but still had his pets, my static SAM basically voked it when the NM was free. anyhow... nothing dropped except that axe which everyone already had. it's an evil world out there... EVEN on a video game.

yeah, its generally wrong todo crap like this...but if someones pissed me off to the point where i remember for more than five minutes (unlikely) then they deserve whats coming to them. noramlly i jsut sit there like a pansy insult sponge, anyways.

In general, no. But most of the time it's not worth bothering with.

Or maybe I'm just lazy. I'd rather be cuddling with my dog than spending energy on revenge :D
