RIP Michael Jackson

I got a text about this today and i immediatley thought it was a joke, its one of those things that you just cant believe is real. I mean the man is a legend, I dont care how weird he got, I dont believe the accusations against him, and its for none of us to judge now, nor was it then. He is at the rightful place where that will be judged now. And thats the only place it belongs anymore.

I always felt sad for MJ because of the difficult childhood he had to bare, and how it scarred him for life. But he still had his outlet, his music. And he shared that with everyone, he could sing, he could move like no other. He was the biggest legend of our time and those are pretty damn rare now adays. I honestly believe that legends of his calibur are now extinct.

Who here can honestly say they never tried to moonwalk?! Hell i actually got good at it when i started learning breakdancing haha.

I will miss this guy and really wish i could have gone and seen his final tour.

also im not innocent in the joking either, i made a joke or two today at work about it, but man did i feel shitty after it left my mouth...

Arguably the biggest death in the music industry since John Lennon.

Arguably, but I'd argue Johnny Cash and Bill Monroe also. They likewise defined their genres.

Michael Jackson - lived a strange life, was a phenomenal success in music, and an all-around great musician.

RIP to one of Pop Music's first iconic figures.

The king of music by far.. Not just some pop icon. I am a Metal fan and i just can't deny this man's ability to make me want to dance like i know i simply can't. Very sad to see this..

Rip MJ.

Five bucks says Macaulay Culkin is about to get some air time.

Been a while since we've seen that ugly mug on TV, I'd say he's overdue.

I'm also noting that Lisa-Marie Presley made a statement of well-wishing yesterday, but otherwise has stayed well away from the spotlight on this, so for that I give "props".

hmmm...wonder what will happen to his ownership of the publishing rights of a lot of The Beatles music....

I thought he sold that a while ago to help with his financial troubles. Anyways, this week has been quite the downer.

RIP

That's crazy... Ed McMahon yesterday, Farah Fawcett this morning and now Michael Jackson. How sad. I guess they really do go in 3's.

I guess Patrick Swayze is holding on just a little longer.

The Thriller Album is one of the first albums I remember listening to while growing up. It was background music for all family get togethers and all road trips we took. It almost feels like a part of my childhood died yesterday.

RIP MJ

Well I teared up this morning, it was definitely from the effect it had on so many, BT was showing the volumes of people everywhere that came together to pay tribute and were singing his songs in chorus.

This not only will have a devastating world wide effect but will be life shattering to many.

He is the king of pop, no longer self-proclaimed as he earned himself that title decades ago. He was a humanitarian like so many said and he will be greatly missed ;;

I'll rock out to the classic Blame It On The Boogie just for him, Jackson 5!

Even after sleeping on it, I still can't believe he died. I'm going to continue my tribute to him by continuing to listen to his music today and possibly play some Moonwalker.

The sad thing is all these tv networks jumping at the chance to share clips of his life, trial, the e true hollywood story including the molestation claims etc to rake in viewers not even 24 hours after he died. Lots of people watching right now...

And poor Farrah... dying on the same day as Michael Jackson would suck.

This should come as zero surprise. These are the same assholes who did the SAME kind of coverage following the 9/11 attacks, asking family members "how do you feel about this", etc. for weeks.

I'm not likening the death of a celebrity to that particular event, I'm just making commentary on the state of most mainstream media outlets.

It's obligatory:

Spoiler:
I don't understand why everyone is so *off the wall* about his death.

I mean, it's not that big of a *thriller*.

All that happened was his heart couldn't *beat it*.

I guess you could say the *man in the mirror* didn't have much time left.

It's a shame his death is *bad* news.

RIP MJ

I really really enjoyed his music. I've been listening to some classics since I heard about his death and it just reminds me of when I was a kid. I loved this guy. lol I had that long ass music video thing where in the end he turns into a transformer taped on beta. Yeah, beta. I think I'm old.

Been watching this thing about his life on VH1. Such good music.

I feel like a family member has died. I was just talking about him on wednesday with my girlfriend on how Kanye West makes jokes about him in his songs. The most recent I believe is "This is bad, real bad Michael Jackson. Now I'm mad, real mad Joe Jackson." I laughed and told her that It would be really cool if on his coming tour if he got with other artists to perfom. Now we won't get to see that. I miss him, but I know that anytime I want to remember the good times all I have to do is pop in my old HIStory cd and listen to his music.

R.I.P. MJ

I feel so sorry for his children. It is hard to lose a parent, let alone when they are so young. Sending out a few prayers for them.
