RMT - On Ship Selbina <--> Mhaura MPK fun :P

All I started off in this thread was saying one piece of armor is better than another, which is absolutely true. It wasn't until they turned it into a "She pays for it, she can do what she want" that it turned sour. I have said it before, yes she can wear what she wants, but she will be gimping herself until she decides to put on real gear. Selling the worthless Corazza will allow her to spend the money on a piece of armor that will actually be worth equipping, bettering herself for the future. But I guess that concept is to difficult for some people.

Not at all. We might just see things a bit differently than you do.

To take on the car analogy, why drive a Porche when a Fiesta will get you to work? Because you have the means to justify your enjoyment out of it, right? You may disagree, but I think it's the same thing.

See, but the Porche has the potential to get you their faster. That, and the possible reward of picking up a hot chick on the way is there as well. Let me see you do that in a Fiesta and I will acknowledge your analogy and the fact that she can wear what she wants.

Unless you will buy this rebuttle: "How many chicks have you picked up with your Assault Jerkin?"

Otherwise.... touche.

You'd be surprised how many girls wanna ride the pumpkin...

Anyways, this will go no where, so I end with:

AJ>Corazza in ALL situations.

i'm still confused how would i still be gimping myself if i have already AJ... i'm fighting a too weak mob for the love of god.. why do i need extra acc and att if it killable in around 2hits (sea mnk). of course if i'm in exp/merit pt, i'll switch to AJ and proper equipment. but when i'm killing time i should have a right to wear anything i want no matter what stats is in those gear.

I love to wear Corazza during solo because of the regen, i do not need to rest when taking damage, or while afking. I know you can say, "why don't you just rest. You won't lose TP cuz the signet and recover HP and MP this way also" but what if aggroable monster is near by?

Each equipment had it own benfit, some are use for showing off, some are use it to take advanage to make mob die faster or enchance your stats. Nothing is worthless, each had it own function.

And you have your own way to manage your job equipment. and i have my own way. You say this gear is gimp, i say this gear is pimp (lolrhyme) If you don't like other people creativity on how they wear. i think you should keep quiet. Saying i can't wear Corazza is like you saying a person can't wear opaline set fighting a lv.1 monster outside of the town without a weapon lol

No, by ridiculous, I mean ridiculous and doesn't necessitate any response. And it really doesn't bother me what she carries around, but when the response to why a person wears certain armor is because of how it looks, then you are just a shitty player.

If your opinion is using the best equipable equipment with respect of the job and level, and doesn't buy gear for looks. I wanna see you level a any job to a lv.25+ that can equip Republic Subligar (i assume is the best stats on a dd job that can equip it at a certain level) and not complaining about how ugly it looks on a male character and showing your manly legs.

Anyway, again nice job on knocking off some RMT Vandoura. :)

hehe was fun, you should try it sometime too :P

You want to know why the regen on Corazza is worthless? It's worthless because for a DRG to solo, they don't need high health. In fact, a DRG that is soloing doesn't want to have health over 33% (50% with AF1 Helm) because Healing Breath doesn't kick in until that threshold. If you have a regen and you leave it be for too long, their goes your healing breath and you have yourself a dead DRG. Like I said earlier, if you are using a Corazza, you don't know how to solo as a DRG.

Take this example. You are killing Sea Monks, but Sea Horror pops. This is a mob easily soloable by DRG if equipped properly. Say you are wearing your stupid Corazza and any other needless pieces or armor when this happens. You start getting your ass beat on. In the time it takes you to switch to the proper equipment, you are half dead already. Does this seem worth it to you? Doesn't this validate my idea that if you are always prepared with the right equipment, you are in fact not gimping yourself?

And I have leveled many jobs 25+, and I have always used the Republic Subligar because of the stats on it, even though I do have the elvaan chicken legs. Truthfully, yes, it is ugly but I wear it because of the benefits. It is often others who complain when I show up to a party wearing it, not me.

Umm... Duh? I know about Healing Breath, I know i can recover my HP when i'm below 49% (and is NOT 50%) when using AF1 helm, and increase the healing breath potency when macro switching from AF1 to AF2 Helm. Healing Breath only available if you sub /mage, but if i'm subbing /dd i can pop my Corazza to recover my HP slowly while running around the area, or afk without resting. Some area can aggro you if you resting.

Look, I wear whatever i wanted too. I like kill time in a fashion way. If you don't like it, too bad for you. I know how to play Drg as well as other good drg player around. I have my way to make my drg better, you have your way to make your drg better. Is how you play the job count, is not having best combination of gear to make you better. Having good gear only allow mob to die in an accelerated rate or increase your stats to kill monster more efficient.

Does this mean I can't wear that Haubergeon on my PLD when I'm fighting EPs helping someone farm a coffer key b/c my char looks totally badass in that type of armour?

Normally I could understand a jab at Vandoura, but dicking around on her own time and not in a meripo with me is a fine time to wear whatever she wants.

If she tries to WHM KC Melee in Temenos again though, I'm gonna bean her. <3

Edit: Missed something. (Just woke up.)
I don't know much about DRG equipment to say what's gimp and what isn't, but if it -is- gimp? Idc as long as it's not in my event/meripo.

Except Haubergeon actually is actually better than wearring most anything else in that situation, really . Where as Assault Jerkin will always be better than Corazza, unless you're doing nothing.

Touche.

Nope, I bought mine off Kaine for 5mil. Then I sold it for 20mil to someone just like Vandoura who thought it was so amazing.

lol :D

You're all wrong, Vandy is a gimp because she wasn't wearing homam or ares. Jeez.

some people seem to think the point we are making is that the corazza is better then the AJ in some situations. i've already said the AJ is better then the corazza. it has more att and a acc+, but the margin of it being better isnt ground breaking to call the corazza a bad or weak peice of armor. mainly due to the fact that DRG has many natural traits that make the 5 extra ATT and the +3 ACC from it not a huge deal. which is why i think it's dumb to harp on a person that uses it.

im quite sure that 2 drg's wearing the same gear, save on has an AJ and the other uses a Corazza, measure their DoT and WS results from a parce the AJ drg would win, but im am equally sure that the difference will be hardly worth braging over. it doesnt matter which one you wear you wont slow any event/meritpo/exc what so ever.

So why do I or some random people care what vandoura was wearing on her boat trip >_>

If you post a picture containing your character possibly wearing some questionable shit, expect to get flamed.
