Bajaratt said:There are a bunch of game-long side quests. In every area there are quotas of mobs you can kill to build up your hunter points to try to become the #1 hunter in the galaxy. Insectrons is kind of a pokemon-equse event; capture bugs, make a team(or breed them) and fight them together in a chess-like game in multiple tournaments. There's also a system of marks similar to FFXII's that you can do.
The only thing that's optional, but practically required is the development of your weapons and combining them together to make new weapons. You can just buy your weapons from the NPC's, but combining generally forms stronger weapons. There's also a factory side-quest that you can develop new items to be found in stores throughout the galaxy.
So yeah, there'sa shitload of stuff to do besides the actual plot. I'm only in chapter 6, but I've spent about 12 hours working on my side quests.
Yeah, I just started chapter 10 and I'm at 46 hours. The chapters start taking so long as you keep going on. Atleast if you start doing everything anyways >.> I havent spent much time on insectron yet or I'd be even more hours in the game
