miros, in all seriousness, i don't think there's would be issue if you would rather spend your new years eve with the one you love rather than a group full of random strangers all half in the bag, even if you are having steamy man on man sex
 
I vote that it ranks higher on Romantic than Sexual since you're attaching special significance to the timing of the physical act. It's a fine edge to walk; it reminds me of the old joke about erotic involving a feather and psychotic involving the entire chicken.
 
But! if you pull out and give them a facial, it crosses over into sexual. Basically, what you do with the man mustard is what determines if it's romantic or not.
 
It's romantic if you want it to be - if you want it to be naughty and dirty, it's just that. If you want it to be romantic and intimate, it's that. Whether or not it's romantic is defined by how you both feel, not by how it is perceived by other people; afterall, it is a private thing...isn't it? Cameras definetly take away from the "intimacy", or "in to he I see"! (just thought that up, pretty impressed with myself).

If you want it to be romantic, lower the lights, light the candles, whatever makes you feel romantic. There's nothing saying adding sex into the equation makes it any less romantic.

If you want something more romantic (IMO, I'm kinda easy to please) and it's not too far or out of the question...after the lovemaking you could always make an early breakfast together(feed each other if you feel so inclined) and catch a sunrise in the park/beach(not sure if New Years is a good time for this in CT), get a cup of coffee and a small snack at a diner or something then scoop a pint of Ben and Jerry's(if you don't have one already), two spoons a movie in bed under a warm blanket and start your New Year off with some fun and a day after being well-rested and ready to tackle it. ;O

(Yeah I totally butchered some of the English language, it's still an idea.)

P.S. My husband is romantic <3 I just think what Miros's "friend" wants to do is sweet, and I think more people in the world should be romantic.

Maybe part of the argument is in how it was suggested?

"Hey, we should totally fuck right as the clock ticks 12 lawl! The only balls that'll be lowering are mine onto ur FACEEE!" is more sexual.

"What if we rang in the New Year by celebrating our love for one another?" (or maybe something less cheesy, I fail at romance >.>) is more romantic.

you could also make it a surprise, wait till a second or 2 till the ball hits new year and SURPRISE!
