Rones / awesome BRD puller

LOL Tyrath, I can attest to that. :3 It's a well known fact.. Rones is a WHM that laughs when people die :3

I used to not stun Meltdowns in Sky with him.. just so people would die.. and he <3 me for it :3

bards pulling? ive been doing that since lv 40ish when beetles in CN were too highly contested..

the only time i havent pulled is when it was simply impossible or inefficient..

I just thought thats what bards were supposed to do o.0

I thought all bards did it >_>

I didnt know it was deserving of praise.. thats like praising a whm for healing.. or a rdm for enfeebling <_<

I wasn't praising the fact he was a bard and pulling, but the fact that he was a bard and pulling great.

Rones is a great puller, brd, whm, and probably any other job.
Just an all around great player and person to know.

lol Sounds like a great party. I'm a level 59 Bard now myself and pull any chance I get. The other day I was in an all JP party and I somehow used the auto-translator to convice them to let me pull. We were in Uleg<TAB> and fighting the Raptors there in this really nice camp and we had it all to ourselves. I would just grab a mob, give melee their songs, then mages, then go get another mob. We were averaging about 6-7K XP an hour. Good times.
 
I had Rones as BRD in my party, and it does not surprise me that this thread exists.

The guy literally brag mobs over and parked their ass to the side while we killed other mobs, did his BRD tricks, and by the time i'm getting around to healing Rones he's already gone. No causualties no downtime, party of 5 no ninja no PLD, WAR DC'd.

You the man Rones.
 
Thing is, pulling is about the ONLY thing fun as bard at the end... the rest is boring as hell >< Not to mention they're the best pullers in cannon PTs, especially in sky (songs doesn't get you aggro like magic does ^^).

We all <3 Rones anyway :P just cuz he got the coolest sig ever :P (ok all right he's a great guy too, but damn you made me say that !!!)

Then why is it so hard to pull mobs off a BRD in BCNM 40 Steaming Sprouts? o.O;
 
I was refering to magic aggro from weapons and what not, not that songs doesn't give you hate.

Songs give tons of hate, I can pull hate off tanks on HNMs easy just playing threnodies LOL

I pulled hate from a 75 PLD as a lvl 25 BRD playing threnodies XD

I heard somewhere that hate-decay is chr based.
The higher chr, the longer it takes for hate to decay.
So, i dont think songs are actually that much of base
hate, just takes long for a brd's hate to decay, cause
of the high chr.
 
yeah that's theory though, been discussed for long, more or less based on the fact some PLD armor have lots of CHR, and therefore triggered "why???".

but then again some BRD armor have lots of VIT and I doubt SE intended BRD to tank ;)

That was a very fun party and turned out much better than I was expecting. I feel bad for the other party that was camping in the area, but we were just killing everything. :cool:
