Announcement RSS feeds in orange

In an attempt to get some new things posted as soon as they are available, we are starting to set up RSS feeds to be posted directly into the respected forum. The current one we have set up now is from www.ffxivcore.com under the user FFXIVCore.com. They aren't bots, just RSS feeds from helpful websites in an effort to bring more information to us.
 
good to know. it creeped me out. I guess the titles they used were misleading.
 
I can see with all the links, the post count and all the posts in like 2 seconds people would think it's a bot. I should have made something earlier so people knew. :S
 
Maybe give FFXIVCore.com a RSS icon as a user pic? I think I have icons i downloaded if you want me to send you some.
 
Well now the bulk is out the way I imagine they'll only update every now and then?

Yeah, I was going to whip up a banner for them when I got home (which is now) xD But we could throw them up as a userpic too! That's why I made the name orangeish too so they could be distinguished.

Most likely, they usually have updates every other day maybe a every few but it's still some nice new info.
 
Can we PLEASE put them in a sub-forum of respective forum though? It absolutely clutters the FFXIV page.

They won't happen as much as the last one did. Only once every few days, nothing that will clutter it up too much.

To be more specific I don't like how it bogged up the FFXIV section, completely pushing back all other threads in the wake of it's mighty thread creation powers. Powers that make threads that look important but really aren't.

Ya, I think mr XIV bot needs a subforum for it's posts.
 
It should not happen everyday either like mr. cat-on-a-big-plushy-thingy said earlier in the thread. It just happens that a lot of news are coming one behind an another because we're approaching the game's release date. But yeah, a sub-forums wouldn't hurt I guess. I'd be for "separating the news from the rest" bandwagon.
