A remake of FF7 would actually be a reason to get a PS3, not enough for me, but at least there'd be a reason. I hope they'll start remaking some of their best games from the super nintendo days and just update the graphics. PS2/3 quality chronotrigger and secret of mana, and I'd actually buy a PS3.
 
Screw remakes of CT/SoM, just port them to the DS I'll be happy.
SE would rather ignore the Chrono franchise and release Dawn of Mana caliber titles though then remake or port the originals, they'd rather just port/remake/sequelitis FF until the day they die.

Why does a patent wearing off stop anyone from making a game? Get another name and make the sequel -.-
 
Except to me it looks like SE just stopped caring about the Chrono games, and they haven't tried to apply for another patent with Chrono "something", plus most of the people behind the original Chrono games aren't at SE anymore, most left for Monolith Soft and the Xenosgaga games, so meh.
I'd love a 3rd Chrono game(or 4th if you count Radical Dreamers) as much as the next person, but I don't see it happening, I hope to God SE proves me wrong though. They had one planned, but I think it just died, and any plans for continuing the Chrono games died with it. Although there could be some hope for the future, Masato Kato recently returned to SE to work on new Seiken Densetsu titles, and Yasunori Mitsuda would want to score a new Chrono game if the chance arrived.

As for Skaw, FFVI remake would be sweet, but that won't be happening for a while, FFVI Advance is due out next week, give it a few years I'm sure they'll remake them though.
But I still want an FFVII remake

A ff7 remake with extended missions, Cutceanes would rule. And maybe a real endfight with sephiroth in the end. Just cloud andf sephiroth in glorious nextgen graphics would own

I'd kill for a remake of FFIV. It's my absolute favorite one in the series. And when I say a remake even a new battle system wouldn't hurt.

Im anxious to know what they are gonna do on the aniversary, i hope they dont let me down(its SE idk tho). If they make a remake its gonna own, and its gonna boom their PS3 sells because fuckton of people will buy a Ps3 just to get FFVII ^^

FFVII is sony's Halo pretty much. If it gets made, xbox 360 will have competition. Would be interesting to see what happens when FFVII is released the same day or week halo 3 is.

I love FFVII though. I don't really consider myself a fanboy for I only liked the orginial game and the movie. I've still yet to play dirge of cerebrus and I'm not reallly worried about playing it. The game just brings back the good ol memories from when I was younger. Was in middle school when the originial was released. I'm getting a ps3 when I can afford it over time and more good games come out for it, but if a remake is possible I'll actually try and save up for it rather than when I "just" happen to have extra money which sometimes happens. I'll be splitting it with my brother so I'll only have to worry about $350-$400 which includes accessories and of course the remake and maybe another game.

Except that VII is more sucessfull than Halo could ever hope to be, and is a superior game in most every regard.

Please. While Xbox has had some sucessfull and decent games, they'll never be able to rivlal the sucesses of the Final Fantasy series.
 
lol.. sales for a PS3 will sky rocket if they remade FFVII for it :P XD

lol, prolly. Right now, it seems XBox 360 is winning in enjoyable games :P (at least for me)

Your right there. Halo or any other game for xbox will never be successful like FFVII was or any other FF for that matter. FF is the building blocks of what RPGs are today and contribute to their popularity. Halo is a product built off of building blocks of earlier FPS games like DOOM for example. I personally am not a fan of Halo. but I know how Halo is and figured it would be interesting to see them come out at similar times.
