Ok, so i played this lastnight for a bit, did about 8 or so missions and my mind is boggled.
there is...just so much to do. The game was a blast from the very beginning. The customization for your character was fun to go through, and you can just keep adding on.
I hafta say...GTA who?! Did GTA let me kill zombies? no!
and the music is just awesome, i mean when i can run over people to Aha's take on me you have officially captured my attention XD
i dont wanna go into that much, but the story is fuckin awesome so far. Breaking out of prison was a blast, and shooting up a court room during a trial was even more fun.
Ill get into more as i play when i get time, but this game is Grade A top notch stuff. The most fun ive had in this kind of game EVER!
 
I want this game. I like watching the GTA games, but rarely enjoy playing them myself. I like the Saint's Row stuff more. I think it's mostly because I can customize my character.
 
i dont know about co-op offline yet...infact ill test right now!

and....NOPE its online co-op.
but this game is still amazing, ive already pulled an escort service so some high profile people can get some pleasure while i evade the paparazzi for them, Ive rode around in a septic truck and sprayed shit all over people, ive destroyed areas just so jack thompson would get less air time for another reporter to get more, ive stabbed people in the throat with a katana and have done a drive by to the classical works of beethoven...this game continues to impress me and im not a huge fan of sandbox games, but this one WHOOPS GTA's ass. This is what GTA shoulda been like.

I'll prob still pick it up, but was hoping to get to play with my brother on it without having to buy another XBOX. I enjoyed the first one and this one does seem to appear 100x more fun.
But going back to the co-op, why don't game companies make their games 2 player co-op on the same system anymore? All games now force you to go online to play with other people. I miss the fun you could have with a buddy just sitting next to you killing shit. Not having to go online.. and hope you don't get an incompetent retard that decides to shoot you 'cause he got borred or is 10 years old.
 
I really liked the first one, it seemed 'silly' fun. Lots of my friends called it a GTA rip off but I had more fun with it than GTA.

Back to the 'silly' part, I really like the over exaggerated, I don't play all my games in a serious way (I get enough from FFXI). When this comes out in the UK (few days) I will be sure to pick it up. I can't wait :3
 
SR2 is not as impressive visualy as GTA4 and in some areas not as smooth gameplay wise... But damn i am having loads more fun in SR2 then i did in GTA4.
 
im on the final few brotherhood missions, i already defeated the Samedi and the Ronin and those were a blast (cept the fish market samedi stronghold...hate hate hate that one) and im about to finish the story, and there is still TONS i have not done and ive put alot of time in this game. I even gotta hit up this mission my friend told me about that he found that ties up the ending of SR1, this game is really a blast and has tons of replayability, It kinda took all the stuff that GTA dropped in 4, took the cartoony style that GTA used to have, and made it what it should have been like. Im lovin every moment of this game!

After you beat the game go to the police station in Saints Row District. Get to the third floor and hit room 303 i think. Thats the mission that ties up the first games story.
