Well, if WAR/WHM is a Buttersheep, then SAM/WHM must be, what, a Dragonsheep?

It's posts like these that remind me why I left and can't find a reason to come back to this game... People who stress so much over such small numbers, especially at low levels, just baffle me. x.x I mean, unless the subjob is providing no possible benefit (say, WHM or BLM subbing a melee job) and the combination can still get the job done, what is wrong with being a little different? It's not like the dunes is really that strict in job requirements...

I mean, it's not like it was a NIN/WHM or something (Which I only "joined" a party as once, for a minute or two, since the leader wasn't paying attention to my job combination and I was bored while intentionally soloing. :P)

Horizontal sig is horizontal. Breaks the boards on my low res laptop. :/

If you read the whole thread you would see everyone agrees the OP went overboard here. But if you're complaining about "cookie cutter" subs in general, there are reason certain subs are used and discussed. Just glanced at your sig, but it appears you don't have a job above 35. Once you get higher levels your sub plays a very important part in what you can do as a job. That's why people gripe at others for not leveling their subjobs and for using the wrong subjobs.

I plan to read the post, but first I have to say this.
Stop making dumbshit polls where the answers are retarded. You're not the only one, but seriously, this shit is so goddamn stupid. If you don't plan on seriously asking people's opinions with the poll, don't be a fuckup and make it a poll.

Mmk. First off, loldunes.
Next off, it seems to me that he was soloing before he got the party (his poisona for EM lizards comment). The party was probably looking for a melee, saw him in a search, and figured to try to invite him. Unless they specifically told him to change his sub when he entered the party, then there's no foul to him.
Also, it looks to me like you started shit with him. He basically told you he didn't feel like arguing with you, and instantly you jump on his case. What the fuck's up with that?
Now, don't get me wrong here. I'm not in any way trying to defend pere. I can't tell you how many times he's fucked up parties I've been in (one specific case when I was leveling my brd, we were trying to talk to a soloer taking our mobs and he blasts the guy with stupid insults.). HOWEVER, you're as much in the wrong here as he is for being a general idiot.

I wasn't complaining about how people choose subjobs in general, just more the fact that people put so much emphasis on subjob choices at low levels when it really doesn't matter. Never once did I suggest that higher level parties should be okay with unusual subjob choices, I know the importance of proper subjob choices at higher levels.
