I don't know why the search function brought back no results. This movie was so fucking good, it's tailor made for people like all of us. Not only is it a better love story than all of the bullshit movies that come out like eat pray love or the note book whatever but it's action packed, tongue in cheek and surprisingly good looking.

Trust me this is the branston pickle of action comedies and it must be seen by all.

I'm definitely going to see this soon. Also, I don't think there were any other threads about this so that may be why :D

I wanna watch this movie so bad. The comic and the game were all fun as hell. Probably gonna go watch this and The Expendables together.

This movie was really good. Its a great adaptation of the comics

Wait, there was a comic of this movie? AND a video game? Wut?

I never knew that, but even so I have been looking forward to watching this movie since I first saw trailers for it in theaters. Just from the trailers alone I've really enjoyed the comic book feel/look of the movie, not to mention it looks awesomely funny as well.

Unfortunately I won't be able to see it this weekend due to work. But I plan on checking it out Monday, then next weekend I'm gonna watch The Expendables.

Loved every second of the movie. Everyone(especially people on this board) needs to see this.

i'm gonna go see this next week along with the expendables, beyond the trailer rated both movies pretty high and they have yet to be wrong on a review!

Omg finally got to watching it tonight, even my 3 year old was jumping kicking and punching along with the movie. It was a very faithful adaptation of the comics and loved every minute of it.

Seeing it this comming weekend. Got myself the books to read in the meantime.

Me and my girlfriend just saw it last night, we laughed quite a bit and enjoyed pretty much the whole thing. I wouldn't mind seeing it again, it was definitely one of those better than expected surprises.

Saw this tonight. Freaking. Awesome. Movie.

I laughed a bunch, absolutely loved the video game references and who can't love a movie that opens with the beginning music from LoZ: A Link to the Past. This whole movie was tailor made for people who grew up playing video games on the NES and SNES, which is most people on this forum.

I think more than over-saturation of comic book movies is less traditional marketing. My parents had never even heard of this movie until I mentioned it the other day. There are tons of internet ads for it, but I don't recall much, if any TV ads. While I'm sure that saved them a ton of money, it also hurt their exposure to the mass market. I don't have a problem with them turning to already established media to use as source material for new movies. It certainly beats a lot of the shit that's not inspired by a book/comic that's out there.

Another reason is it went up against The Expendables opening weekend, which I've heard is awesome from friends who've seen it. Two movies going for almost the same target audience releasing at the same time is going to make people choose, and the expendables has a wider audience range, so that was going to win out. Hopefully Scott Pilgrim will pick up more sales, or at least stay the same this next weekend as people go see that now that they've seen the expendables.

Hmm, as far as commercials go, I saw tons of them on tv. Though I first caught a glimpse of a trailer while in theaters for some other movie and it didn't really attract me to the movie, perked my interest a little but not enough to really care. The more I saw the trailer on the television the more I began to think this movie could be a really good one that I'd enjoy. So I finally saw it and loved it.

I do agree that it opening with The Expendables really hurt it's opening numbers, which is a shame because it is a fantastic movie that I hope no one misses.

Hopefully I can go see The Expendables this weekend. Going to see Salt tonight, not exactly pumped for that movie, but I was asked to go with some friends.

Finally saw this movie today. I knew it was going to be awesome but HOLY CRAP! So awesome!!! I really loved everything about it. The editing, the acting, the characters, the story, the music, the feel, everything!!! Favorite character? Knives Chau. She felt even more important than the comic :P and she's so adorably awesome. She's too good for EVERYONE in the movie though. Ramona and Scott kinda disgust me in the fact they cheat and lie and are cowards, but at least they learned and grew up finally and they really are perfect for each other. Ah well, so great!

All the comic book/video game pop references actually got annoying to me. I thought the love story could had stood alone quite well and done just as fine.

The comic book/video game references are apart of the original comics

erm I understand that part but I'm just saying I get enough meme references online. Let alone in reality where everything is so kawaii.
