Screw GMs! Talk to SE!

GMs aren't directly SE employees I believe. As most companies do.. they have an agency that they hired to take care of the customer support stuff. Atleast that's what it seems. Could be wrong though. Besides.. doesn't hurt to send messages with that option. Perhaps the more complaints with the same complaint will get through to them.

I've tried sending SE emails many times, asking them numerous things, etc etc. They send you back a standardized letter that they send in reply to every email they get. Heres what it looks like:

Dear Phylisha,

Thank you for your interest in PlayOnline and FINAL FANTASY XI!

For assistance with your question, please refer to the automated reply below. Automated responses help us assist a wide range of users with common questions about PlayOnline services. If this does not resolve your question, please follow the instructions at the end of this e-mail.

--------------- FAQ#:Q12363 ---------------
Question:
How do I call a GM? What should I do after placing a call?

Answer:
If you encounter a problem that you cannot resolve by yourself while online, select "Help Desk" from the main menu and follow the on-screen prompts to summon a GM for assistance. However, please be aware that there may be times when the GMs are helping other players, and some time may be required to answer your call. GMs respond to requests in order of severity, so please wait your turn. If you have left the game when the GM arrives to answer your call, your request will be cancelled. Sometimes, a GM may not approach you directly but will contact you via a "tell" message instead. Please remain in the game and pay attention to your chat window after placing a call.

--------------- FAQ#:Q10014 ---------------
Question:
How come my character is sitting and won't stand up?

Answer:
When your character is healing, they will sit down and be unable to take any action except talking to other characters. To stop healing and stand up, either press the left analog stick on the analog controller, the L3 button, or the 0 key on your keybaord's numeric keypad.

--------------- FAQ#:Q12176 ---------------
Question:
I spotted a bug. Should I call a GM?

Answer:
There is no need to contact a GM unless the bug is severe enough to make it difficult for you to play the game. To report a bug, select the Service & Support page from the PlayOnline Viewer main menu, then select "Support," "E-mail Support," then "Problem Report."

--------------- FAQ#:Q12180 ---------------
Question:
I saw a player character who wasn't moving at all, or a player character who was stuck walking in place against a wall.

Answer:
If you receive no response when you try talking to them, there is a good chance that the player has stepped away from their console or is otherwise occupied. Generally speaking, GMs will only respond to requests made by players who are experiencing difficulties, so there is no need for you to contact a GM on their behalf.

--------------- FAQ#:Q12181 ---------------
Question:
One of my party members stopped moving or kept walking in place, and there is no response when I talk to them.

Answer:
If you receive no response when you try talking to them, there is a good chance that the player has stepped away from their console or is otherwise occupied. Generally speaking, GMs will only respond to requests made by the specific player who is experiencing difficulties, so there is no need for you to contact a GM on their behalf. You may want to ask them what happened the next time you meet up with them, however.

--------------- FAQ#:Q12360 ---------------
Question:
My game has stopped working, and since I can't open a menu, I can't call a GM. What should I do?

Answer:
If you are unable to use your character to call for a GM, you can use another character (if you have one) to call a GM instead. You may also return to the PlayOnline Viewer main menu, select the Service & Support page from the PlayOnline Viewer main menu, then select "Support," "E-mail Support," then "Problem Report." Additionally, if you happen to be playing the game with a friend, you may contact them by a means outside of the FINAL FANTASY XI game system to explain the situation and have their character call a GM on your behalf.

--------------- FAQ#:Q12428 ---------------
Question:
I would like to stop participating in a quest that I accepted.

Answer:
You can participate in as many quests as you would like at one time, so there is no need to cancel ones that you do not feel like completing.

--------------- FAQ#:Q12127 ---------------
Question:
I sent a "tell" message to another player character, but the log window indicates my message could not be delivered.

Answer:
When you sent your message, you may have mistyped the recipient's name, or the recipient may have logged out of the game. If you are certain that the player is online and they are not receiving your messages, there is the possibility that the recipient has added your name to their blacklist.

--------------- FAQ#:Q11588 ---------------
Question:
Can I change the registered name in my PlayOnline ID, or give my PlayOnline ID to someone else?

Answer:
PlayOnline IDs can only be registered to one person and are nontransferable.

--------------- FAQ#:Q11961 ---------------
Question:
I have two copies of the game. Can I play FINAL FANTASY XI on the same console?

Answer:
Each person who uses PlayOnline and FINAL FANTASY XI will require their own separate PlayOnline ID. The registration code that is included in the software package is required to obtain a single PlayOnline ID. If two PlayOnline IDs are obtained from two copies of the software, two people can play the game on the same console. However, please be aware that two people cannot use the same television, PlayStation(R)2, and internal hard disk drive (40GB) (for PlayStation(R)2) to play FINAL FANTASY XI at the same time, so you will have to take turns playing. Additionally, if you have already installed the software, there is no need to do so a second time.

--------------- FAQ#:Q11388 ---------------
Question:
What is a quest?

Answer:
A quest is an adventure that is triggered by talking to specific townspeople (NPC). You may receive items, gil, or even hints for the game as a reward for finishing these quests.

--------------- FAQ#:Q12384 ---------------
Question:
I logged in and discovered that my character data had definitely been altered.

Answer:
If you log in to find your character standing in an unfamiliar place, or notice a change in your character's experience or items, there is a chance that a friend or family member may have played the game while you were away. If you are absolutely sure that this is not the case and feel that it may be the result of a bug, contact a GM immediately and describe the situation. If you are sure that nobody played the game while you were away and the situation does not seem to be bug-related, please contact the Square Enix Information Center.

--------------- FAQ#:Q12365 ---------------
Question:
What are the types of things that GMs cannot do?

Answer:
GMs appear in the world of Vana'diel, but they are not actual residents. They cannot provide hints or tips for playing the game, explore or fight alongside your character, or discuss the game system. Furthermore, GMs cannot compensate you for lost gil or items, fix problems, change the name, race, or appearance of your character, accept comments for Square Enix or the FINAL FANTASY XI development team, or mediate in player disputes. If you would like to report a problem or have any comments or suggestions about the game, do not call a GM. Please select the Service & Support page from the PlayOnline Viewer main menu, then select "Support," "E-mail Support."

--------------- FAQ#:Q11582 ---------------
Question:
How can I set or change the date and time display?

Answer:
The clock that appears in the Active Handle Information portion of the screen is adjusted automatically when you log in and does not need to be set.

--------------- FAQ#:Q12498 ---------------

- Elvaan who start in San d'Oria

Out of four emails all different topics ("Can I change my in game name?" "What are SE's Development teams reasonings behind the upcoming NIN shadow enmity change" "MPKing done and I have proof, how can this be handled?" "In game harrasment, how can I make it stop?") This is what has always been refered to me. So instead of some lame ass actually talking to you and telling you standard answers that do you no good, they just send you an email of standard answers. And if you go to thier "help and support" there at the end of the email, it loops around to this same email. Gotta love SE <3

9,600 emails a day. Will just use a year even though its longer.
X
365 days
3,504,000 emails.

Who said anything about a turn O_o they -dont- respond besides the automated reply. Unless of course they could still be waiting to get to my first email from about 11 months ago.

don't think SE will even do anything about it, unless like 90% of the people in FFXI complain to SE

10% of the whole FFXI population will be no use, need at least 90%
