Well to be precise, I said that 1.4 million for a single strength point (since amemet+1 and whatever mantle have the same attack boost) was foolish.
I don't know how difficult/rare the upgrade items are for the relic armors, and so I am unaware of the cost of upgrading relic armor at this time. I didn't think they'd be sellables. They could be insignificant in price. They could make coins of 1-2 million in gil look insignificant.
I'm going to make a huge jump and equate that summoner's piece to a foragers mantle (aka: amemet+2). To be fair, it's not got engame best buffs on it, and if it weren't relic no one WOULD upgrade it for money. Let's say it's a drk piece, and it's the new best though. Would I support a drk paying 2 million gil for it so long as it was from me? That's what you're getting at I suppose. You want to see if my position changes now that I'm the have instead of the have-not I was in the forager example.
Assuming that a dark knight wouldn't respond by paying an arm and a leg for his upgrade items in addition to buying coins at a flat rate (because if a summoner has to upgrade to nothing for 2 million, the drk is going to have to pay more for "endgame best" buffs), I support him upgrading.
However, if this dark dishes out 3.4 million gil for an upgrade item while a summoner's upgrade items go for 30k, forget it. Drk's an idiot. You have to keep in mind that coins will offer a HUGE buffer in the upgrade of these pieces if the upgrade items are rare/ex, and if they aren't rare/ex then people will dish out specifically for specific upgrades. And if that drk pays for insignificant better out his ass, then he's in the same boat he's always been to me. That I'm the dealer instead of the onlooker makes no difference as to my opinion of him.
But keep in mind how much damage that drk will do on account of me. And I'm not talking damage against Fafnir. If a drk comes at me drooling for his relic+1 HQ because it helps him "be the best" I'm going to laugh and raise the price out of his reach. If he wants to get his endgame affected on in MY arena he'll be paying 1st class, not NA class. JP's will have the same idea that any NA godsheller will, but they'll have three times the gil to work with. So if he comes at me thinking 40k is the new deal, Jp's going to raise that beyond comprehension.
Cubs, NA can never catch up. As soon as a single person thinks 40k coins are a deal on this side, 40k is no longer the asking price. Comes with the territory. It's relic and dynamis.
