SE charging more?

Just looked at this months bill. Noticed mules were 2 bucks more and acount was 25 bucks. Asked a few friends, some had mules 2 bucks and 1 buck each. Since SE is closed till monday, just wondering if anyone else noticed this. Hell if SE raised the prices i should just buy another acount and lvl it... All my mules come to same price as the account lol.

A few dollars wouldn't result in being double charged (unless you mean double charged for an extra character)

I recently reactivated an old account of mine to give over to my brother, and it only had 2 additional characters. You would think $12.95 + $2 = $14.95, but somehow it came to $21 Canadian.... and while I was expecting a slight increase due to the conversion rate, generally its not more than a dollar.

So yeah, i'm curious too why the cost is so high.

If you reactivated an account in June, it will bill you for both June and July at the beginning of July.

I can't remember if it worked the same way with new accounts, was too long ago.

well my norm acount is 14.95 or w/e. This month was 25.95, and mules were 2 bucks more. I paid last months and so on. Couple other peps i know had the same issue, but he had a mule for 2 and another for 1 dollar lol. Seems i got to call SE monday and do some yelling.

You also have to take note that sometimes theres a processing fee. I get 1 processing fee every two months, but mine only shows up as $1

They pro-rate your first month and tack it on to the next month. So if you joined in the middle of June, or had mules created, then you would get the rest of that month's fees added on to the next month's fee.

They also do this if there was a billing error and they couldn't bill your account, when they actually do get the information to bill your account they'll just add it to your next month.

I'd call and double-check though, money is serious business these days.

Bleh, sorry. I read the post wrong then, and understood it being that there was only an increase of a few dollars.

I know with my case, the secondary account that I reactivated was done on June 1st. On July 1st, I was billed about $21 Canadian for an account with 2 mules (total cost should have been $14.95 + a dollar or so for the conversion rate) If I had been charged for both June and July, then the cost should have been above $24, but it wasn't.

I've never heard of SE doing "partial" charges either, I always thought regardless of when you would reactivate the account, they'd charge the automatic $12.95 + mules.

When you re-activate they wait till the next month to charge it, if you haven't canceled by that point, they'll also start charging the next month. Basically, they want to be a month ahead not behind (aka: they don't want you to pay after the month is over, only before it starts) but at the same time they only want to do all the charges on the same day of month to avoid double charges in one cycle (they pay a small fee per transaction, so combining saves money).

End result is that reactivating an account makes it look like it costs double, and you usually lose a few days from the first month, unless you activated right at the start of their cycle.

I was charged for two months as well...and it's been active for 3. And I paid the first two months.

Thanks guys, so it appears it isnt just me and a few others. Seems many have this issue. I guess i will have a long wait time with SE come monday. Seems they charged me for 2 months inna way. Paid every month up to date, so Its got to be something on there end. Can't SE go 1 day without screwing something up?
