SE really does give a damn...

Because you can't exactly become a Forum admin at Alla by pretending to be an SE rep.

Alright, somebody is now on my ignore list.

Could it be...? Meh I'm not believing it until they actually use some of those suggestions -.-

You guys are forgetting. It takes time to come to these kinds of conclusions. They have to think of every possible way to fix a situation without totally destroying game design, and use the one that hits the system the least, while fixing the problem at hand. It's not as simple as "Man, we've had complaints about monster-player kills for 3 years, time to just make mobs not aggro while on the way back to their home area."

Wrong forum?

o.O

But I agree, it isn't a simple fix. However it is nice to see SE actually making posts in forums and taking a big step forward as far as communicating with the players.

which would be idiotic, because you could very easily have a theif use flee and the party would stay agro-free for quite a long time. think about what would happen in dynamis, can you say 'easy AF2'? i sure as hell can, that one would not work. the other 2 are much better ideas though :D

Wrong. The hate list would have to clear. If someone doesn't have hate in a normal combat situation in Dynamis, someones either AFK, or leeching.

Plus, theres coding in the game for mobs to have universal hate on parties/alliances. People will get attacked just for being in the party, should the rest of it falls. Several mobs use it all ready.

The no-aggro until home area return mechanism is an excellent one. I'm just stating, it's not the only one, and thats why it takes time to get these issues(and others) solved.

ya the original posters idea are so flaw im even surpise he post them.
they did not think one bit and im still thinking this is some kind of practical joke because you would think that someone from se would have some type of brain to know if you made it so that mob did not argo player going back to camp then would make it real easy to exp or to pick 1 mob off the bunch. If you made it so that aoe would not hurt out side partys the dragons and kirin would be a joke serket, king vine or any other hnm would become so easy to to find loop hole around the aoe rule. There is no way in hell that is a responce from se corp. maybe a rogue but I dought from the higher up in se

Hellstorm. Theres a big difference between aggroing and linking. I'm sure they'd still link, but just not aggro. Look at some Worms, and the crawlers. Passive, yet they still link if you mess with their buddies.

there would still be so many exploits which could be used though if they did any the 3. Argo happen at any mmo you go to. so now you just say fuck lets make it so mob dont argo. mpking is a problem but making the mob none argo or linkable will not fix this problem just cause other problems. Gm pressence in the area gm enforcing rules, that will solve problems. GM playing a more visible role instead of sitting in there little mordor or where ever they call it That would bring a soultion. The reson that a gm in the pass could no do anything is that, if a gm dont see it they cant do anything about it. Now this is true because no way proving if 1 person saying something is truth, BUT if the gm played a more visible role Like be in certain areas during spawn time or have a gm menu so you can see where a gms are so you know the gms are doing something. Now I bring up the orginal everquest alot because I still say they had one the better system around when it came to a mmo. Somewhere between there and now most them ideas have been lost and things have been spirling slowly downward. If there is no one to enforce rule why follow them, because billy bob gilseller sure not going to.

I believe it is legit. At the igames event SE expressed their concern about this issue and said they would create a thread on ffxi.stratics.com for players to give their feedback on, but as we all know... Stratics has no community lol

So they probably decided to post the same question on Alla to get a larger response.

I can't prove that he is 100% legit, but I can prove they SE mentioned these exact things in the Q&A discussion by referring you to my thread: http://www.qcdn.org/viewtopic.php?t=19346 that I made well before this alla thread.

I'll quote:
Chemical_Penguin said:
#11: Are there going to be any changs that prevent groups from MPKing other groups at HNM spawns?

Answer: "We would like to hear feedback about this very issue in a thread we have set-up on the Stratics forum. Right now we are thinking of possibly having monsters that aggro a player return to their spawn location first before being able to aggro another player. But again, we want feedback from the players on Stratics forum thread."

So I don't have 100% proof that he is a legit SE employee, but I'm willing to bet on it.

Mobs will still be aggressive, however if someone trains a mob to the zone line, or ontop of another group, they will not become aggressive until they reach their original location. That doesn't mean they won't link while in the dormant state, hence my worm/crawler example. Thats not the issue at all.

by doing this you have cleared a path in dynamis and no one would have to do any work. all the puller has to to is not be in a party.
or how about vy in krt train the mob to zone and every thing be fine because he not in a party. Or serket mob argo someone the person pull it off drop party and run person die the mob would stay dormate. cant pull a mob cause it in a crowed room dont worry ill drop party pull the one mob you want and fight because THEY WONT ATTACK UNTIL THEY GET TO THERE SPAWN POINT. If they didnt link what would be the put if suzy if fighting lizard it dunes and donald pull 10 lizard to zone there not going to link suzy mob. the system is flawed

And I already stated theres code in the game for universal hate lists. They can make adjustments to Dynamis to include this. Everything you're posting is useless as they can also make it an area-by-area basis.

if they can change dat file dont think they could change this. the system is flawed and there is no way they could change the system enough where it could not be exploited
