I wasn't doubting WHMs ability to melee and solo mobs. I was referring to Shaunessy's insistance that WHMs should melee in XP parties alongside those in the front line.

Any whm who does that should be taken out back by 9-18 Galka mnks.... Beaten to near death 39 times <cause the 40th would kill you> and then anallay raped for same number of hours as the number of levels he meleed.

The people who allowed this should be standing in line behind him.

lol sea horror i hate the to. once whwn i only my 32 whm sitting on the boat and nothing attacking me so i see the sea monk <well what i though was a sea monk so I /panic it to be funny then it started to attack me.
then went back killed it with my rdm about 2 months later:biggrin:

Chainspell was implemented into this game for a reason.

Yeah he never popped up chainspell, it would have been a great idea for keeping utsusemi up (if it works)... so thats his fatal problem IMO.

Done right, anyone can solo him. WHM/NIN at 74 and I beat him easily and have actually done it several times camping the pirate NMs. Don't even need to gravity him, just as long as you can keep stoneskin/phalanx up and see the Hundred Fists animation, you are all set. Once you see the animation, you will have a 5 second delay before Hundred fists actually starts to kite him around the top deck and the cargo on the front of the ship. Or you can just sleep/bind him while he 2hrs, wait 30-45 seconds and continue the fight. It's funny to see everyone panic when he pops tho. They look at you like you are insane to even touch him and run in fear. Good times. :biggrin:
