I just don't understand why time and again here on QCDN the same people need to carry a shitty attitude and their smart-ass comments out into the other forums where they don't belong. The flameboard got brought back so you can be a dickhead to your heart's content where the rest of everyone can pretend to care and tell you what an asshole you are. But honestly, is it necessary to go into, say, a Good Times thread and post some inane comment just to be a total cretin? If someone is saying goodbye to a friend or posting about something they've accomplished would it kill you to show some class and maybe some self-restraint and not say something stupid just because you can? If you're so sure you don't care, or that what someone is saying is beneath your attention, then why taint it with your foulness? Leave it alone. You want to flame someone or talk about what a loser you think they are or how much better you are then they? Do it here. Stop taking that shit into places where it isn't appropriate. It's just really tacky and unnecessary.

Sure it does. The point is, you can be a total prick just because you can or you can at least pretend to be halfway civil once in a while. Be a total jerk if that's your cup of tea. I just don't think it's necessary for someone to inject their unpleasantness where it is just really uncalled for. It's like kicking the ass of someone weaker than you. Sure, you could do it, but do you really think that makes you badass? Is there some weird satisfaction in pissing on someone else's parade? Everyone bitched about how restrictive QCDN had become... well we have a flameboard again. So is it so much to ask to not have to read such snipey trash in places where it just isn't warranted?
 
I agree with Zyndara, all too often good times threads are invaded by persons who get a kick out of saying something sarcastic or what they consider witty. People like that only get a kick out of the reactions they get from what they say, sad that really.
 
Right on Zyndara I think is stupid reading through a none flame board post and then half way down some one changes the topic of that post says how that persons sucks and what ever and tries to start flaming them there.

When you have a zing, you have a zing. Doesn't matter what section makes you deliver it. On another note, all forums are like this not just QCDN. However, most other forums are better moderated because the moderators have nothing else better to do. The forum is the only place they have "power", even though it counts for nothing, so they troll their boards with thier pirate patch and sword. You should actually be thankful this isn't a nazi fest, really.
 
If it's any consolation Zyn, I don't even know who Vindicative is. =/

Welcome to the QCDN standard. If there isn't anything bad to say or an argument to make of it, then the post isn't worth posting in or reading for that matter. Really, the mods need to step it up and start handing out read only access and temp bans like it's going out of style. I don't think half these posters give a shit because they know mods just don't give a shit. Start handing out reprimands and they'll get the idea fast, "Don't shit on the forum and the forum won't shit on you" or something to that effect. Spare the rod, spoil the child.
 
Those people are just naturally dumbasses. They get a kick out of offending someone else thinking everyone else laughs at it. I can flame about this for a while, but It'll just set us back on square one, lol.

But yeah, I agree with you. User rating system ftw?

Im not familiar with it and have not seen it anywhere. And example of the user rating system would be something like on Allakazham. Its just a thought though.

But yeah, I dunno what the Rep system is

That seems to be the common consensus by so many, but what Zyndara is wondering is why you guys can’t restrain yourselves enough to keep your foul attitudes away from the other forums.

It not just Decidence either… but so many of you guys post nothing but belittling assy comments it’s a wonder how it got to already be a norm.

Sculli (rest in piece) ended the flameboard for that very reason. The flameboard came back because so many vented that they needed a place to poke fun and let out pent up emotions. One of the parameters on reinstalling the flamebaord was that the negativity be kept on this board. It’s getting pretty obvious so many lack they restraint to do so.

It really does come down to alot of phycological stuff behind what the user posts. It's not what they say but why they say it. Some people are trolls and post 100% sarcastic/non relavent things because they prabably just don't care what anyone eles thinks. And why is that? Why do people feel they can zing when they have the chance, even though they should keep it to the flameboard.

This brings back the "cold QCDN" thread I made last year, nothings changed. Everyone will throw a sarcastic remark somewhere, and sometimes it gets a little out of hand, and even some low blows. We know who they are, and we know why some of them say the things they do. Look at some past threads made by certin people. I can think of an individual but I wont name him. His father drinking and asking for help, months later him becoming a sarcastic prick. Hates life mabey? That's phycology for you.


Mods REALLY need to give out read only access as at least warnings for now to get people to smarten up with their posts.
