Sept. 12 2006 1/4 will die?

isn't china like... 1/4 or something of the world's population??

More like 1/6 ;x

That guys funny.

And if anyone is actually scared...Read this:
http://www.religioustolerance.org/end_wrl1.htm

The site lists many failed and many future prophecies. The only one that even sounds logical is:

Asteroid "1997 XF11" will approach close to earth. At first, scientists were concerned that there was a small probability that it might impact earth. However, data from 1990 has indicated that it will miss earth by about 600,000 miles. 6 Still, this is a near miss, as astronomical distances go.

Only problem is, its listed for 2028-OCT. I don't think science can look that far away yet...so seems like another retard to me.

Another more reasonable one:
The environmental group, Greenpeace, predicts massive starvation due to uncontrolled population growth. Global warning will melt the polar ice caps and cause massive coastal flooding. Thousands of plant and animal species become extinct.

One from attempt at comedy:
2047-SEP-14: According to The Church of !BLAIR!, the human race will probably be terminated at 3:28 AM (Soho, England time). The church teaches, with tongue firmly in cheek, that if the human race does not discard their plastic conformity, then the Gods will withdraw their protection. The Gods don't want us to worship them; they don't want sacrifices or even offerings. They just want us to rid itself of our excessive "Normalcy". At that point, Astro-Lemurs (extra-terrestrials similar in shape to lemurs, but with rainbow colored bodies) will attack the entire human race and beat them to death with gigantic burritos. You have been warned. ;-)

I have an end of the world prediction: Galactus will show up, hungry, in 20 years. MARK YOUR CALENDERS PEOPLE.

Thing is, this is the only prediction that is actually written in the bible

so if I write a book, with a prediction, will people believe me in about 2000 years? :D

The biggest prediction of the end of the world is 2012.

Apocalypticism/Spiritual transformation

The following predictions are theories based upon sources of varying origin and credibility. Many of these theories rely upon conjecture, and should therefore not be considered to be facts.

* The Olduvai cliff will begin and permanent blackouts will occur worldwide, according to "The Peak of World Oil Production and the Road To The Olduvai Gorge" by Richard C. Duncan.
* The Prophecy of the Popes, attributed to Saint Malachy, speculated that Pope Benedict XVI would reign during the beginning of the tribulation of which Jesus spoke, and sometime later a future pope described in the prophecy as "Peter the Roman", the last in this prophetic list, would appear, bringing as a result the destruction of the city of Rome and the Last Judgement. [7].
* Terence McKenna's Novelty Theory, based on a mathematical interpretation of human events, predicts a point of singularity in which humankind will go through a great shift in consciousness.
* According to the 1997 book The Bible Code, according to certain algorithms of the Bible code a meteor, asteroid or comet will collide with the Earth. Some believe this means the world will end. It may also be destroyed according to another code found.
* Many interpret the ending of the Long Count of the Mayan Calendar on December 21, 2012 to mean a global spiritual transformation, or shift in consciousness.

Pretty interesting stuff.

The thing is, most "predictions" are written in an incredibly vague matter and can be taken dozens of ways, that it becomes unlikey that most of them don't occur through out the course of planetary life. This is how Nostradamus became famous.

hope I'm one of those 1/4th! /emo weeeee

Just about every religion has a "prediction" on how this will all end. The Bible is only one of many...

With sooo may different religious nutjobs with comments that can be taken so many different ways one of them are bound to be right, I mean, if I remember correctly there was a religous prediction about September 11th.

On another note, I think all of this is a bunch of hogwash.

So 1/4 of the population will die on Sept. 12th?

Time to get laid and pollute my body with horrible substances... I think the guy down the hall is a crack addict. Maybe I'll pay him a visit. Then I'm going to read my Zombie Survive Handbook, because we all know how it's going to go down people. We all know. Let me be the first to say:

Romero was right.

Actually he said 1/3 of the of the population over an area of 1/4 of the Earth.

December 12, 2012 or something like that, is the end of the world - or the current creaton cycle according to the Mayan calendar. I wonder if there'll be any panic?

The bible actually states from the first word every 3 words in one of the acts "Nuclear Holocaust 2006".

I mean if you can interpret this as anything other then "We're going to blow ourselves the fuck up sometime this year", then I'd like to hear it

I seriously hope you're fucking kidding.

B.C. Middle Eastern authors didn't know what "Nuclear" was or the structure of this calendar.

Bible code is fake. It's got nothing in there that you can't find on Mobey Dick.

Im not saying they did it on purpose cause of course they didnt know what it is, but its a code in the bible which honestly I dont think is there by coincedence

LOL I'm sure it's a coincedence.
Let me show you something else that could be considered a "prediction":

Q33, the flight number of the first plane to hit the Twin Towers on 9/11
now translate it into Wingdings.
lies.jpg

OOOooooo Nostradomus was right!
Then there's this one if you type out Q33NY
lies1.jpg

Much like the Bible, there was some nut out there just looking for conspiracies, cover ups, and codes to clamities (holy alleration batman!).
My example is just one of the many coincedences in the world that appear only out of millions and millions of other possibilities.
My idea on the subject that most nutjobs that go looking for something like this and find it is only because they are predisposed to proving themselves right that even the littlest of information will justify it.
