I was eating breakfast while watching the news when the first plane hit. I continued to watch the channel and get ready to leave (was on my way to the dentist). I saw the second plane hit on live television. While I was at the dentist I heard they were evacuating the Dallas World Trade Center, fearing an attack there as well. The first tower fell while I was in the car on the way home, the second I saw on TV.

Good idea, where were you when it happened?

I watched the 2nd tower collapse on tv and altthough i wasn't there... I sure as hell felt the terror.
I can def relate... I was in my high school English class, when the teacher got word and turned the TV on. The class went errie silent as we watched the replays of the first plan hitting. We watched live as the second one hit... I don't remember much after that. I'm still at a loss for words. RIP the sweet souls who pass and all those effected directly and indirectly.

Some dumbass Turk got arrested at the mall last night. I don't know the specifics but basically he claimed he had a bomb in his backpack and people thought he was going to blow up the mall. -_- Fucking idiot. Whether he actually had one, I'm not really sure. Either way it's a crime. I think I heard that he just said that because he felt like he was being profiled. Oh, yeah, good job there bud. Way to help your image.

Wow, you guys make me feel old.

I was 21 when it happened. I was getting ready to go to my college class (not 5th or 6th grade :) ) and my parents said a plain hit one of the buildings. I was watching live coverage of it and I watched the second plain hit on live tv. At first the news casters didn't say anything, because I think everyone was confused. What probably went through everyone's head was "Ok, is that a replay? No, it can't be, because there's smoke coming out of the other building, too... whoa, a second plain??" It took them about 30 seconds or to even gather their thoughts on what to say.

After that, I went to class for about 20 minutes and someone from administration went to all the classes and said everyone needs to go home. Living in Houston where there's a lot of oil refineries, energy companies, and a huge ship port, we were worried someone was going to blow something like that up, and that'd be a huge mess to clean up.

I'll never forget that day as well. Was 21 at the time and had arrived at work(same job I'm at today) about an hour before the first plane hit. One of my co-workers was listening to a radio talk show with ear buds and said to our row of cubes "Holy crap a plane just hit the WTC" Everyone was in shock. I remember thinking how someone could get so of course in a plane that they would hit a building.

We all went into the conference room and turned the TV onto the news just as the second plane hit. It still brings shivers down my spine just thinking about it. I remember trying to call my dad and mom to see if they had heard about it, and I couldn't get through cause all the lines were busy from everyone calling loved ones.

Went home that night and was glued to the TV like the rest of the world for hours trying to make sense of it. Never forget the people who died on that day.

I was in my 8th grade homeroom (which is like study hall) when it happened and it was on TV all day...we all tried to get on with our day but they just ended up sending everyone home...

Weird, same for me. Was 7th grade home room which was like a 1 hr study hall. We watched it for an hour before they sent us all off to our classes.

I remember we walked in and our teacher told us to be quiet because she was listening to it on the radio at first. They allowed the tvs special cable access so we could watch it for an hour

I was on the way to work when my mom called me. She told me about it and said that she couldn't get in contact with my twin sister and asked me if I had. She was convinced that the Weapons station in lower SC was a target too and was trying to get us to come to her house. Work let me go home because it was slow (was working at a restaurant). I only saw the replays and didn't see it live but still was shocking. My sister's college didn't cancel classes but for her last class her teacher canceled it due to I think her father being at WTC. She finally called Mom so she wouldn't worry.

Man ya'll make me feel old as fuck XD

I remember I was dropping my siblings off at their elementary school when I heard on the radio (it was kinda low) about something happening to an airplane. My first thougth was "Great, another airplane accident, when will airline companies learn" but then as I was on my way to college I turned up the radio just in time to hear exactly what happened. I punched it to get to school faster and ran into the Commons (our cafeteria/gameroom) just in time to see the second plane hit. RIP all who died that die, I must say it really saddened me to see how some people preferred to jump and pray that they would survive than just sit there and let the fire or the building collapse kill them.

I was qualifying with my rifle that day for the Marine Corps. Most of us thought it had to be some prank they were playing over the speakers. I remember getting back to the barracks and having some squadron discussion about having everything packed. A week later we were standing on the tarmac waiting to board a plane. I was calling my parents and telling them where I was headed only to be told we weren't being sent at the last minute.
