Yeah that was my plan, however I had no idea the condition until someone said "gears here" and seemed to have died rather steadily... The static seems to be going slow for me but we're all still learning the cruelties of Nyzul Isle. Hopefully today goes well for me lol

2-3 weeks ago I had to pick some people up for a run got lamps-ordered was only 4 but they had 2-3 gears surrounding each one and no white magic + one member dead from floor before. After 2 people died on that floor no way to win and ate the loss with some fireflies.

/edit people should bring some form of RR lol

Most successful group I ran with which is static except 1 person was

RDM, COR, WAR, MNK, BRD, MNK

Went smooth as you could have imagined but that's mostly due to our fact with lolfloors.
Run 1: Specified, Specified, Specified, Enemy Leader, Lamp (register)
Run 2: Specified, Lamp (same time), Enemy leader, Exp, Boss
Run 3: Exp, exp, Specified, Lamp (Order), Enemy Leader

Was great to have 10+ minutes to farm the last floor on run 1+3 but kinda get bummed when there's only 1-2 NM's there haha. Also its nice to get a boss floor and then see "10 minutes remaining" after the boss died 5 minutes ago and we were randomly laughing at the fact in our runs we've had 4 COR nyzul guns drop (yay me!). I have to say while jobs make it easy/nice and VENT gives you a major advantage...in the end it comes down to your floor selection and god forbid, choice of players. If you have a smart group everything goes easy, if you get 1 idiot however....things tend to explode in your face. Floor choice just pray to Altana you're lucky, before we had smooth runs we had 2 runs in a row with Kill all Family floors with 5-9 soulflayers. I mean...come on that's just not fair ; ;

You can buy a scroll of reraise for 1-200 tokens before you start.

indeed which I and a few others had my reraise on but 2-3 didn't seem to have brought some type.

Those seem to wear off in about 15 minutes. It's better to bring an alternative RR item. But I guess 15 minutes is better than nothing right?

Been running 2 statics for um, loooooong time now
1Tank(NIN always), 3DDs, SAM always my first choice, especially when 60+ bosses, then WAR, DRG(Yes DRG/SAM very good), DRK, BLU is ok. 2 mages, RDM and WHM always, everyone wants a brd, I dont, I take RDM/WHM over a brd anytime for this assault.
Anyway, this is just what my teams always go as, there is not perfect setup, whatever works for you, hell we even did DRGX3 RDM WHM WAR :0

Well we've made it to first set off boss floors finally and my team seems to know what to do now. What I have to ask is. We learned that a tank just doesn't hold hate long enough on the boss (Cus my DD pull out huge numbers) is it still safe to use a tank on the harder floor? Floor 20 Boss seems to be a push over and we've won each fight with out any form of a tank cept who has it after a WS lol.

I prefer not using pld or nin in nyzul

I'd say to get a better tank. I've had tanks hold hate well against some very beefy DD's in nyzul, although they know enough to not go nuts and actually try to pull hate off the tank at every opportunity. Higher level bosses will be a little harder, but that'd mainly be due to the mobs you're fighting than the floor level.

Everyone should have fanatic's drinks for boss floors anyways, so if the drink is active, have your DD's go wild since they won't be taking damage.

depending if you're 2hring the boss floor

mnks during 2hundred fists, drks with stun, nins are all viable imo

saying this i've done up to floor 80 in terms of bosses

i wouldn't be reliant on just monks with 2hr for holding hate though, it can falter against something like hydra when phys shield is up and they lose hate from not doing damage eventually

They should turn on formless strikes then and do magic damage during physical shield.

Usually we don't 2hr on bosses unless it's the last boss, we're pressed for time, or something happened and people died unexpectedly.

Semi-necropost lol... not sure if anyone still wants to know more about Nyzul combos, but we've been running WAR DRK DRG RNG RDM(/BLM) and WHM. We took that group from 1-100 and consistently won at least 3/4, with the occasional 4/4 night. Sometimes you just get that combination of floors that seems specifically crafted to screw you over... >_<

We have also had a SAM in instead of the DRG and SCH instead of WHM, and those runs worked smoothly enough. On boss floors WAR usually goes /NIN, but on some of the climbing floors it worked to /SAM.

Or you can do BRD WHM MNK THF and still go 4/4 every run xD Nyzul is easy, even more so with less people since that'll give you less mobs to kill as well as a max of 4 lamps instead of 6 lamps to combo.

Every group I've gone with has always done better with 3-4 people instead of 6. The bosses are easy as well as there's less people to heal and less TP fed to them.

The maximum is 5 lamps and we had those 5 lamps even with only 4 ppl so it doesn't scale there. Not sure if the number of mobs is adjusted, that's really hard to tell.

Our group relied on BLUs when we were still just climbing. With RDM, BRD or / and COR they have like infinite MP which makes them kill weak mobs almost instantly.

Now we just farm boss floors and use RDM, BRD, 2x SAM and THF (mostly for TH of course, we are only 5 ppl). Especially the SAMs use a lot meds on the boss floor, which makes it usually pretty fast combined with BRD songs.
Climbing also works ok with this setup. We use the BRD for scouting / pulling.

I've never seen 5 lamps with 4 people. If you enter with 5 people and one DC or warp out, there will still be 5 lamps though.

In the end if the lamps are close by or it's order you could still do more than 1 lamp a person

I go in with nin, war, rdm, bst/whm, drg, blu. We have a whm who helps when one person can not make it. I find most times the warrior or blu are really tanking. We are at floor 31 atm. Do the floors give enough points as you go up to cover the cost of entering at the next set of floors?

yeah. aslong as you dont lose all the time lol.
