Where was the saints offense last year? Or their defense? It takes a team effort to win, but if the team effort is "choke" each game... well, I rest my case. Shockey is just a bitch, we all know it. NY knew it too; guess who's not there anymore? Here's the playoffs for the NFC, quote me in 6 months:
NFC South: Carolina
NFC North: Detroit - upset pick
NFC West: Seattle
NFC East (The powerhouse division of the conference): Dallas
Wildcard: New York
Wildcard: Philadelphia
I'm an Eagles fan, btw. Washington won't do well. They'll bank on Campbell and Portis to carry the offense while they make yet ANOTHER coaching change. Snider's need to buy a team will prevent their young talent from ever achieving the pinacle of whatever dormant skills they have. Philadelphia's defense will carry them, but if McNabb is in stride then you're in trouble. You won't be able to say, as a defense, "Key on westbrook" anymore. A healthy McNabb with a healthy Westbrook could easily reshape the NFC East. This is all completely off topic. Let's put shit bluntly:
The addition of Shockey will matter only if Duece McCallister somehow stays healthy. Why? He's the key piece for the team. He keeps the clock moving, he opens the field for Drew Brees to throw. He doesn't require a blocking tight end, so Shockey can get out and make plays. He is what makes that offense tick, and honestly I doubt he'll stay healthy as history repeats itself.
Please, don't forget, they somehow got him for the price of a 2nd round draft pick too. For someone of his immense talent, that says something for Moss. Now the question is whether Randy will stfu and not kill a good thing, or will he ask for more money as he gets in his later, slower years?

This is wrong. The Patriots ARE a different team than the rest of the NFL, especially the Cowboys. Pretty much every other team would have resigned Deion Branch, and Asante Samuel. Not to mention, pretty much every other team would not have been able to afford Randy Moss in the Pats' situation, because, in case you weren't aware, Tom Brady restructured his contract to reduce his pay to make cap space for Moss to come play for NE.
