I'm leveling COR and I was at 22 not even a month ago and I'm 70 now so I'd say it's still fine.

However COR is a job that gets invites fast.
 
If you've got enough friends who are willing to Level Sync with you, it's probably actually easier to start over now than it has been in the past.

If you have enough friends.

Coming in, with nobody to support you... I dunno. With the right job, it's probably not too difficult to find parties, but it's not as easy as it used to be most of the time.
 
I can't answer if it's 'easy' but I can tell you I'm trying it myself...after almost 4 years away no less!!
Never hurts to try they say :)
 
From what I've seen, folks are taking jobs from 1 to 75 much more quickly than in the past. How much help they had from friends...I don't know. However, I know there are still good ppl out there to be friends with.

In fact, I would suggest finding a good quality social shell to help get your feet grounded. I'm always down to help out nice individuals in-game if I'm able. I love making new friends in-game.
 
well i'm in the process of trying to get my account back, if that does not pan out well, I might do this. Anyone have a good shell?

looks like i might get my acc back, anyone need a 75 rdm?

Only worth it to start over if you want to play rdm, cor, or brd honestly. They're easy to get to 75 and the gear isn't as competitive as alot of the other 75's.

Everyone that asks if its worth coming back, comes back. So just start playing again and stop wondering, you can't stop the urge once it starts.
 
Just come back and give it a whirl, like my friend you'll more than likely get bored of it again in no time.
 
i would do rdm, brd, or cor if i did start! i last had a rdm 75 and it was by far the most interesting class for me. i loved the versatility.

now just to figure if i want to become a shut in now or when xiv comes out :-\

I'm probably the only person that has been able to efficiently suppress those urges to come back. I have no desire to play FFXI again.

You and I both, I've taken breaks from the game, and when I took those breaks, I said "I'm taking a break" not claiming I'm quitting then come back. I said I quit two months ago and have had no urges. When really I stopped playing three months prior to that thread. So about five months now with no urge to come back.
 
only thing keeping me from 86'ing my account is the lack of a better time killing game.
