Signing into PSN with a new PS3

My bro was thinking about getting a PS3 for himself for when I move out so he figured he would just pick up a used 20GB, but was wondering if he could still log in with the PSN name he created on my PS3 with the new one so he doesn't lose all the progress he's made in CoD4.

I don't see why he wouldn't, but just wanted to see if there would be any problems since his is linked to mine with mine as the master account.

Ya, when I forgot my old PW and id I had to make a new one when I returned my Ps3 when it stopped working. Which sucks cause I liked my old ID and now I'm stuck with a stupid typo one D:

Actually there may be a problem here. If I remember CoD4 multi player data is stored on your system not server-side... so I'm sure he can keep his name / friends list and such but he's going to have start over from zilch again for CoD4.

I remember a story about it though but I suppose for Ps3 at least it's not the case.

I'm almost positive that it's server side because of last weekend when nothing done online would be saved e.g. level would reset to what it was when you first logged in whenever you left the online area, and it wasn't just happening to us.
