It takes a glitch to get us to go down these days. That's fine by me. I didn't feel like making everyone take R1's to make up for it, so we just did our best in a crappzy zone. Check the emergency maintenance for quetza zones. You'll find bastok there.
All it takes for a god shell to go down in dynamis is time. First, I'm amazed that they tore Decidence away from his shell if they got him to. That's an amazing feat if he quit. Once they start recruiting the general public, which is what it always comes down to...well I'll just let them figure it out on their own now. It's like chronic transplant rejection. You can't stop it.
 
Who cares how BoL runs there shell and whether they recruit some more people to boost their dynamis attendance.

I don't see whats gonna stop people from showing up to get AF2 and other Misc. drops when Dynamis is free for all members. Unless of course people get sick of losing XP which is one of the only reasons I can see at the moment.

And no, I did not leave Perfect... their run got cancelled last night because of miscommunication, so I was able to go on BoL's first trip.
 
Oh and btw... BoL's dynamis really has nothing to do with you... they arent even gonna be running during the same time as you do.

I'll just point out OH Dynamis Shell was fairly successful(at least more than any other shell I've been in), it merely shifted due to lack of interest by OH Leaders which led to it becoming unaffiliated and most OH members left eventually.

Good to see that they changed their time then. Did they really change times? Last time I heard they had planned on entering a dynamis at 8 pm est on saturday. We enter at 9. Like I said, that's quite convenient given the history.

Perfect succeeded as a private-public hybrid because dynamis pants failed and released a slew of experienced players into the demand market. The new buzzword back then was locked dedication. The end of dynamis pants spelled success for the first closed-roster NA shells on this server. Perfect swept most of them up and reaped the whirlwind of disaster. Not that that's wrong. That's just what happened. I remember the threads that spawned when DP finally went down. It was a whole lot of talent to be reaped back then. The right jobs. The best gear. The highest levels. The most experience you could find, and the be-there-every-day that you need.

Contrast that review of quetza dynamis history with today, when the population of quetza isn't getting any bigger. There are no experienced players left who aren't bum migrants who jump from shell to shell at the drop of a hat. The rest are taken. Locked in. First generation was dynamis pants. Second generation was the locked shells that spawned from the death of dynamis pants. OH tried to start a second generation hybrid just shortly after perfect locked in all the DP-refugees. It failed. I picked that shell off the ground and tried again. Lost 95% of its original core in the process. My players' average level is around 72. A quarter of the new recruits went from losing sandy to winning windy and beau access in 4 weeks. We can't wipe and win without taking R1's yet. The experience just isn't there. This is what you have to do to start a new dynamis era these days. You have to work for it and start from nothing, because QCDN USED talent is WORTHLESS talent.

I don't see any more dying shells around, and QCDN is a wasteland of recruiting. All our new members come from the general population, and the general population is the one place that you forum-thumping god-ratracers are too high to turn to without turning them into second-class citizens. Your god shells aren't powerful enough to get it done without seeking outside help. And when you do, chances are you'll treat them like second class citizens. It's in your nature. It's why I don't like you people. And you won't realize it until it's all over and you've done nothing but wasted your time. A noble effort, but in the end I don't see this going anywhere in particular. It's not in you.

But hey. If calbrone isn't squatting our times in petty revenge and spite like I thought he was going to, try away. I have some BoL members in the shell, and only really had a chronic problem with one--their kid of a leader. I doubt I'll be able to keep Neo or Trixx or Deuc since they'll probably be required to join this indentured servitude thing, but I can part with them on decent terms. The only "nothing" that I absolutely had to lose...HAD to for my own sanity and the good of the shell...was their snotwad leader.

I think I ignored twice, both during OHex and invictus' recruitment because he struck me as a talentless thief who probably couldn't cut the thief's burden in dynamis. So there you go. He wonders why the fat kid got picked before he did, and then dang...the teams filled. People don't flame me on the good times boards because of who I am. That would require thinking about someone other than themselves. They flame me on the good times board because of what I've done to THEM. 7 times out of 10, it's a direct busted ego, whether I realize it or not. 2 times out of 10 I've busted their friend's ego and they've been infected in linkshell or tell talk. And then 1 time--the rare gem--is actually making a new antifriend from scratch.

Anyway, a little more fanboy forum history for you, free of charge.

You claim that these shells don't recruit these people, not because they don't need XXX job, but because they don't need "second rate" players? So you do, right? And in turn, for their hard work, you ignore their hard work, and write off every victory as your own personal sweat and blood?

I went to invictus once and it was a total wipe.. 1/2 the people wern't doing anything and there was a lot of arguing and yelling going on.. like a bad random allience

I didn't judge anything on that until I heard nearly everyone in 3 different LSs of mine talkin mad shit about invictus

Things have changed since then. We ditched a lot of the problem children and gotten an infusion of fresh faces who aren't QCDN affected like your 3 different LSs probably are.

You miscomprehend entirely, as expected. Any new shell that wishes to recruit can't recruit elite players. There are none left. Everyone is either spoken for or a regular shell migrant. Right now, Invictus IS the general public's shell. There is no other way to do it these days. Our level is low. Our gear is adequate. Our tactics are sound but our experience is lacking. And in spite of that, because of the power of the general public, we may make a STRONG Beaucedine debut by Christmas.

Like I always say though, much to your all's hatred and scorn...the most powerful force on the server is the nameless L70 that you like to look down on to remind everyone how good you are at internet RPGs. Calbrone was too good to fight with them. He left them to go back to his god shell. Never really gave them a chance. He expected OHex, when OHex was defunct and dead. He didn't bring his team in. Didn't bring his force of 30 in. He took his team out. Said **** the general player. But make no mistake, BoL will have to recruit the general public if they want to go places in dynamis. I pulled for THE most powerfully equipped and powerfully talented 30 NA players on the server, and we couldn't get it done. There's no one left to turn to but the general player, and it is not in a god-shell mentality to succeed at that. They'll probably treat them like your typical QCDN affected treats them--like 2nd class citizens.

In the end we'll see who the more powerful force is--an exclusive endgame elite god shell or the general public. I still haven't caught up to where OHex died with this completely new team, but I aim to. They deserve the investment. We knocked windurst down, so the potential is there. We have levels to gain. Jobs to fill out. Learning to do. God shells can fall back to suckle at the elite tit if they want. They don't want to bring a new generation up I guess. Too much work. Too much investment. They'd rather have the comfortable oldschool elite.

I suppose they can have their bottles so long as they don't annoy the rest of us wanting our steaks. But my best guess is that Calbrone will be recruiting the general public by the end of the year after they've had a good taste of Windurst. And at that point, you have to ask if calbrone has to rely on the general public...then why did he pull out of a general public shell that he played for a month in?
