Sky/Sea Gilsellers moving to AH Bots mode

They could serverhop with a ton of stuff as already mentioned, but considering they money they'd pay to do so, they'd needto be making several millions...think in some of these cases (Primarily Amemet +1), they're just trying to buy out the AH which would in turn raise the demand of mantles, thus raising the demand of Amemet Skins as well. They then flood the market with gouged skins, which will sell fairly fast, while also being able to pop those +1 mantles they stockpiled onto the AH at a gouged price as well.

Same profit, minus the whole server hopping...though I do agree that the server hopping thing seems highly likely, especially with some items that may have considerably larger money gaps between servers.

Mishaela: We traced it. Someone purchased 9 amemet +1's on Sept. 19th. Then Gahok sold 9 on Ragnarok On Sept 20th and afterwards.

Ok, lets do some math:

Mr./Ms. Gahok of Ragnarok
Sells 22 wootz ores for 30k. purchased for 10k (net 440k)
Sells one fire bomblet for 1.38m purchased for: 730k (add 650k)
Sells 9 amemet +1's for 320k, purchased for 190k (net 1.08m)

Just from those items the net profit is: 2.1m (less AH listing fees)

One website I found (from advertisement here >.< ) indicates gil sells for $43 per million. thats $49 net profit on a $37 investment.

There are 80 item slots on a base character. 50 storage and 30 on the character. And at one dollar extra they can take 80 more so, bet that they did that too.

Its simple math. And so easy to do. It's a sad shame that SE is allowing this to happen.

Believe me, it's millions, and not same server speculation.

Ah, true. Though SE could (somewhat) fix this by restricting entire accounts to one transfer per three months, I assume this would hurt people who have mules to transfer and wouldn't stop RMT from simply mass-buying accounts like they already do. =\

It's amazing they go this far, but then money is money to them. I know they've recently picked up on doing several ENMs as well, which is why many of the ENM items have plummeted in value as well.

What they should really do is restrict identical items over 10000 gil from transferring with your character. That would leave a mark.

Oh shizzle!! I left with nine amemet mantles +1 and only arrived with one. Must be those dastardly baggage throwers at Square Enix Terminal.

Maybe they should just abort the "Transfer With Your Shit" program?

There is some funny shit going on now that people can switch servers with their shit.

One would think, that at $25 change fee, that it would cost prohibitive to make a selling items for higher profit on other servers? But you can migrate 16 freaking characters for $25.

SE is fucking up!! It should be $50 / $100 per character transfer.

You see characters like Aaddcc who dump items for gil at WAYY under market cost, but never buy anything. Sounds like a gilseller to me.

Then you have Wyle who bought two Haubys at 400k.

If the person takes the Haubys to Bismarck and sells at 535-600k (current price) they'll net roughly 135-200k for those items alone.

The bottom line is that Quetzlcoatl is getting farmed for gil and high priced items are migrating to other servers.

Server consolidation coming soon? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Everything is a conspiracy to you isn't it ^^.

I gave away a Haubies, among other things, as parting gifts as I was leaving the game.

But even so, I did have two characters who could have used them and could have just been buying them for that purpose.

Anyhow, your point, however valid it may be, will have to just be. With any change to game dynamics, some aspects that people are comfortable with will suffer and others that people are annoyed with will improve. And everyone will just have to learn to live under the new system until it changes again.

Zoltan... another classic case of shooting then asking questions later ^^;

Don't worry Wyle, I can back you up bro. ^^

Bah, I meant to add more to it D: so sorry about making a double post:

I havn't bothered to read this all because I know the context of what most of this says, but in reality, I think they expected this in a sense and from the report it looks like they are monitoring these activities. I also think they have placed sufficient guidlines. $25, who would pay more than that other than possibly gil sellers? It wouldn't be customer friendly to legit players and so then, what would be the point. And it's not like they can simply jump back and forth. They have to make new characters and refarm and repay the $25 each time. Not to mention, I'm not sure that you can do transfers limited on your account number or the character, but in either case if a single account shows too much of this activity they'll get bagged eventually.

I think SE is doing a good job on this front. I wish they would clean up their act when it comes to people getting their accounts stolen. There should be a maintained history of credit card and all other changable information on accounts for up to atleast the current and last payment. This way people who get hacked have atleast one month chance to reclaim their accounts. That is how SE could be better spending their time.

I never said conspiracy. Nice try.

You quit the game? Then why the fuck do you care?

Ahh shoot. I missed where you were coming from. Sorry.

I just used your dual purchase as an example. I didn't mean that you were doing anything like taking them to sell on another server. It was just to make a point that it was possible to make a gil profit that way.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I can attest that Wyle was or is quitting, since I bought a crapton of cheap RSE from his bazaar.

Thanks for the deals, by the way, Wyle. Catch you on the flipside.
