Thats pretty lame. i can understand the no tights rule but come on lets see him fly already. I am also a bit disappointed about Lana not being dead, its not that I didn't like her character but I am just getting a little sick of Clarks constant whining about her and how they can be together. I mean come on soldier up and act like superman not some infatuated high school kid.
 
Gough talked a lot about that also. The thing is Lana played a huge part in Superman's teenage years. She was his first relationship. She is responsible for the way he acts towards and around women. This is the story of him becoming superman not the story of him as superman.

They can make him fly already. He did in one old episode and in the Tornado season finale too. lol

Unfortunately they are getting to the point where he is no longer a teenager. He has been out of high school 2 seasons now, time for him to cowboy up and learn to fly. I figured that they would use lana's death to serve as the transition for both Lex and Superman. Her death would make Lex into Captain Insano with plans for world domination and Superman would become the bad ass boyscout. But instead they just copped out did the old staged her own death thing, which was totally weak. Oh and for god sakes he needs to move out of his momma's house and get a job.
 
Clark didn't fly in the tornado episode. He just went into the tornado. The other time he flew it was Kal-El not Clark that flew into Lex's plane to take that object from him.

When Clark becomes Superman Smallville is done as a show. This is the story before he was Superman. Once he becomes Superman he is no longer becoming Superman.
 
Floating is floating and flying is flying. We can argue semantics all day long but The creators said he won't be flying or wearing tights and well as far as I have seen he has floated like once in his dream.

Season 1, episode 1 I believe lol.

Yeah the season he learns to fly is the last season. Which is either this season or next. When He learns to fly, he will have all his abilities then become Superman, thus ending Smallville.

That time may have come. I mean the show was suposed to be about Clark Kent in high school. Well he has been out of school for a while now so its about time for him to get to work, stop being such a lovesick puppy, and superman up.
 
The flying being his last power learned was a MAN of STEEL thing (Byrne). Now that the Supes mythos are back to... um, normal? He can fly in Smallville again like he used to when he was Superboy. Although DC is still maintaining that he never was Superboy.
 
he also flew i beleive in an episode Season4 Episode1, but then again, he wasnt really "Clark", as he was Kal-El, and embraced his true kryptonian destiny (as the lady who gives martha the black k) but yeah, there are episodes that they show him flying or where he flew but they cover that up saying it wasnt him, >.< but KARA can fly... all over me if she likes ;D
