Smug alert! Mac users are snobs

I also think people who bought iPhones should have their heads examined.
Meeze, if you're reading this... EAT IT

Edit to add: Cmdrfly, shame on you. You left out the last part of DeepBlue1975's comment.
Damn you, let me push the propaganda laid forth by our lord.

If Macs run Vista better than PCs... I wouldn't be proud of that.

indeed.

See, the fallacy of the Mac commercials is this:

When did "PC" stand for "Windows Machine"? From my understanding, a PC is a desktop. It's not a laptop, therefore it is a PC - a Personal Computer. By that notion, a "Mac" should also be called a "PC". All that's different is the software that resides on it.

Level the playing field a bit, and let's toss Ubuntu on there. "Mac"s run it just as well as "PC"s.

How many background apps does the average PC have running?

Again, I'm going to assume you mean "Windows Machine".

Mine is currently running 43 background processes.

And how many of them do you REALLY need?

That's an interesting question, then. See, only one process is really running at any given time, so I only need a single process; the one currently passing across my processor.

At the moment, I have 70% of my 1GB of memory being used, leaving 30% for anything the OS might be doing as upkeep.

As for my 1.5GB pagefile, 774 MB is being used. That leaves.... a little less than 1GB of spare space in Virtual Memory, so I could cram a hell of a lot more in there.

The way I see it, if all of my memory and processor is being used, I'm getting my money's worth out of it and I'm not wasting space ;-)

On Ubuntu, of course, I don't get anywhere above 46% CPU usage unless a program is launching, of course. Memory doesn't get above 20% and I don't think I've even begun to touch swap.

I love this lol...

It's more entertaining if you can slam your competition without actually naming them in the ad and giving them publicity at the same time.

Not to mention it makes Justin Long look like a pretentious asshole while doing it.

Did I say that out loud just now?

Reading the OP makes me think I should buy a Mac. But I can barely even stand my iPod anymore, I'll be damned if I ever buy their silly phones/computer/bullcrap.

Well it looks like its time for me and Kel to hook up.

Meet you in the back room with Miros in 5, kay?

He's a closet Mac user. He'll come out.
