Electric (electromagnetic? w/e) sensitivity. Basically, I hear high-pitched sounds coming from certain electronics (like cameras), and if I touch something that's electric it feels like it vibrates.

Supposedly its closely related to electromagnetic hypersensitivity where people are allergic to electrical devices. Apparently it is not an actual accepted medical condition, as doctors apparently say its a physiological condition.

Anyway, out of all the people I know, only me and my mother has this. If an electrical device is put on a table, we can put our hand on the table and feel whether or not the device is turned on.

And at the same time, I figured out where my eksema and ratches comes from, as it is apparently one of the symptoms of electromagnetic sensitivity

Anyone else has this? Supposedly 35% of the world's population has electromagnetic sensitivity, which I doubt is true, as it would be a medically accepted condition in this case.

I have that mildly. Can hear if anything in the room is turned on by the shrill noise it makes, apparently that is one of the reasons for my migraines. Can't feel vibrations though, that would really suck.

Yea it's weird, I can hear when someone enters the room, even silently, almost like the air moves. Like an electric sound from a t.v. in another room. There's no volume but, idk how to explain it really, I always just said electric sound.. or, idk lol.

Yeah I do too! I tend to be around computers a lot since I work in the customer service industry, but yeah I come out of work with my head hurtin pretty bad. I can also tell when a T.V. in another room has been turned LOL. Right this second I can hear all of the computers in my vicinity giving out that high pitched sound.

No seas mamon guey -.- i.e. be serious, this actually gives me (and others) nasty ass fuckin headaches.

I have both of the things. I actually used to ask my friends if something was wrong with their camera or something when i held it because it felt like it was vibrating. She proceeded to get angry at me for scaring her (her camera is her baby). I've had that for as long as i can remember. I always just though i was crazy. Nice to know there are at least some other people with the vibrations. I used to hear the noises really loudly, but i've gotten used to them.

I can usually tell without looking if something like a TV is on (I've surprised many people by randomly turning off TVs or monitors that appeared to be off already), but the vibration thing sounds weird.

Yeah i can usually do this. I live in a college apartment with 4 separate rooms. I can tell if any of my roommates have a tv on the moment I enter even if I can't hear anything from the tv. Not so much the vibration thing though.

When I was little, I had a accident with a dial up internet and after it happened all the information on the internet was downloaded into my head.

That happened to me too. Now I'm a walking encyclopedia, much to the distress of my friends who do not enjoy me telling them random tidbits of useless information, such as the history of the Brittish sign of holding two fingers up, or why the French has a rumor about them to always flee battles. Did you know you can order a beer in Belgium by holding your pinky up? All because the belgian word for beer rhymes with the belgian word for your pinky.

So that's when you hear high pitched noises and such? Cause I hear them so much x.x it annoys me so :(

well, it can also be tinnitus if you hear them all the time.

I hear a slight high pitched ring sound when a TV/sky box is turned on. I'm almost sure everyone does, I asked my friends and they all have it also. Unless 25+ people I asked today (yes I had that much spare time) all have it then I think it's a fairly common thing. The vibration thing, sounds odd though and no one mentioned that.

slightly high-pitched? <.<;

I'm talking so high-pitched and annoying you just want to run out of the area or destroy the object making the sound. I can't even enter certain areas (a particular train station in London comes to mind...) without feeling like ripping my ears out due to the incredibly high-pitched sound.

Even in a large area I can locate exactly where the sound is coming from, and even with the sound of hundreds of people talking (or even blocking my ears) I can still hear the god damned thing louder than all the background noise.

Certain places are worse than others, and certain places don't trouble me at all. I've only found one place so far (the train station in London, can't remember the name of it) that I can barely enter due to the noise.

The sound it self sound like someone scratching a knife on to a plater, only so high-pitched that it touches the edge of what humans can hear, giving the impression that its silent, yet loud enough so that you can hear it through all the background sound. Imagine hearing that the entire time and you'll know why I refuse to enter said train station.

Hmm, would hate to see one of these electro w.e girls wearing vibrating panties.

I don't hear it all the time though, not sure what the common thread is when I do hear it hmm... I can't pinpoint what it is either.

I hear extremely high level and extremely low level humming from time to time. Whenever I ask my parents if they hear the hum they always tell me no. It's been that way since I was little and I get headaches because of it.

I've surprised ppl where I worked when I told them they left their monitor or cpu on when they thought they had turned it off.

My car mechanic thought I was crazy when I took my car to him and told him it was making an extremely high pitched noise 5 mins after starting.

By now I'm used to the odd looks whenever I ask someone if they can hear something, and deal with the headaches whenever I get them. None of the Dr.s that I have asked about the humming noise have ever told me anything. They just say I'm 'hyper-sensitized' and to ignore the hum; or that it's all in my head and that I'm wanting attention. I've basically given up on the medical community...
