>_> I think deserved it... If i knew how to MPK, then i would do it to them. lol. X D *doesn't even know what it stands for, but knows what the outcome is* Killing them wouldn't bring us down to their level... It would just be justice. ; 3 Kinda like how the justice system sentences murderers to death, cuz... well, >.> They did a very very bad thing...

I would kinda say its the same thing as what the noobs did, but ofcourse this is only a game, and not a IRL wedding, but all the more reason to kill them. ^^ They don't really DIE, their characters just losses exp and get annoyed.. Which is what i'd call PERFECT JUSTICE. hmph.

I see you're in full support of the death penalty for TRESSPASSING.

^^ Tresspassing MY wedding? You better believe i'd want the death penalty to slap them silly in the face. >_> And turn them inside out, while they're still alive... Then let them feel every moment as i crush their bones and body with my foot. Soooooo yeah... ; 3 Specially if it'd disrupt my ceremony with my love. ^_^ *huggles his Ele-poo*

This is OFCOURSE my opinion. ; 3 No preservatives added..

Oo To the thread's true issue. Shame on those boonlettes.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand:
Ninjas serve me my dinner every night.

Veovis, you forgot one:

Ninjas are Answa's bitches.

Someone kill me already. >.>

Under normal circumstances, I would agree with you Cubs, MPK I usually agree to be wrong. However, even if it is 'only roleplay' it was still quite the heartfelt occasion, as many of these people we consider to be family. I'm sure all of you would have become rather close to your LS members, the same that we have. I've known these people for well over a year, and seeing such an occasion crashed by some disrespectful pissants has more then pissed me off.

You bet your ass if there was PVP I wouldn't have bothered to call a GM, I would have merely jumped on them, killed them in one shot, and moved on. However, SE didn't have the foresight to see that sometimes PVP is a necessary part of a game, so we're forced into the crappy ass ballista or MPKing (which is against the rules).

Justification is what is about here, MPKing over an HNM is completely different than MPKing over a wedding, a sacred occasion whether it was in game or not. I feel MPK is perfectly justified, as it is the only means of bringing justice to such a thing. Again, PVP would have been preferable, but we don't have that option now do we? and how many times have peopel called GM's to have them either not show up or to 'thank us for our time' and apologize for not being able to do diddly squat. The GM's are useless, you know that, I know that, everyone here knows that.

Simple asking the fucktards to leave also was not an option, as we did so REPEATEDLY to no avail. Had they left after we told them we were having a wedding and to please leave, there wouldn't even be an issue here.

And another thing, why was the HNM BS even brought up? It had nothing to do with the situation other than the fact that people had threatened MPK, and it was rumored that someone did in fact do so. This isn't an HNMLS, this wasn't over gil. This was about disrespecting something that was supposed to be a rather heartfelt occassion that was shat on by two idiots who didn't have the common curtesy to just walk away when asked.

Sad thing is, I've only seen this kind of behaviour in FFXI, whereas in other games people are much more respectful. I don't know what it is about FFXI that makes people complete asshats, but it's just something I've noticed throughout my time with the game.

I understand it 'pissed you off,' but there are obviously better ways to handle the situation.

PvP is NOT and never WAS a necessary part of MMORPGs. I've never been a part of a PvP MMO that has ever, ever had good come of it.

Justification is what is about here, MPKing over an HNM is completely different than MPKing over a wedding, a sacred occasion whether it was in game or not. No, we don't. But anyone choosing to be a vigilante and take justice into their own hands You're basically saying that if someone is a dick to you in-game, you have the right to MPK them to make it 'even.' I call bullshit. In any MPK case, the ends do NOT justify the means.

and how many times have peopel called GM's to have them either not
show up or to 'thank us for our time' and apologize for not being able to do diddly squat. The GM's are useless, you know that, I know that, everyone here knows that.

And in this case, the offending parties did NOTHING TO VIOLATE THE ToS. In a GM's eyes, they had the same right to be standing in that spot as you did. Hell, they could have brought each and every mob they fought right smack dab in the middle of your wedding party and you would have no in-game repercussions, because, once again, they did nothing wrong aside from making your wedding party upset. Let their bad name be their punishment instead of adding a ToS violation into the mix.

I know damn sure that if I were one of those 2 people (not that I ever would, of course) I'd have GM called whoever MPK'd me in a heartbeat, and should they go to Gaol for it I'd be thrilled.

Simple asking the fucktards to leave also was not an option, as we did so REPEATEDLY to no avail. Had they left after we told them we were having a wedding and to please leave, there wouldn't even be an issue here.

What you're forgetting, once again, is that they NEVER HAD TO LEAVE. They could have plopped their asses down right in the middle of your wedding and there wouldn't be a damn thing you could do about it. This is the risk, again, of holding events in areas where others can wander by and be dicks. You took the risk and someone wasted a few minutes of your time.

In response, they got MPK'd. Seems real fair.

And another thing, why was the HNM BS even brought up? It had nothing to do with the situation other than the fact that people had threatened MPK, and it was rumored that someone did in fact do so. When idiots bang on the windows of your car when you and your significant other are making out, you don't have the right to run them over with your car after the fact.

The issue should have been over when they stopped bothering you. Plain and simple. The fact that someone took it to an unnecessary extreme, and that others in the party SUPPORT such extremes, is the hypocricy I'm trying to show here. It's never ok to break the rules or grief another player...

Unless of course they've done something to inconvenience you in the past. Or didn't do exactly what you wanted. If that's the case, I feel perfectly justifed running goblin trains to anyone who's looked at me cross-eyed or /slapped me in game. Seem fair?

^^ Are you friends with those noobs~ :D

If anything... Think of the mafia... ; 3 Hey, you mess wit' mah family.. you messin' wit' me. DIE MOFO!!

Heh, no, I'm not.

I just see page after page about "OMG I GOT MPKd FOR ~insert reason here~ WHAT BULLSHIT" and then this comes up and half the thread endorses MPKing as 'justice.'

I don't think MPKing is ever right, for any reason. I've never done it and never plan to. I understand your position and you have every right to be upset with the jackoffs. Just... don't let those upset feelings land you in Gaol because you wanted to take the law into your own hands.

true... but thats what makes this world special. ^_^ People think that all revenge is baaaaaad, and other think there are gooooood revenge. = 3

Hmmm....I'm probably a hypocrite for saying this but:

Any revenge (in my opinion) is bad since revenge is a form of retaliation. Retaliation is only achieved through malicious intentions. Whether or not it is a righteous/justifiable cause or an evil/dirty cause, there is still the intention to harm.

Either way, there is no "good retaliation" in my opinion.

Well, last night I had a long, drawn out, 7 paragraph response to what Cubs said....but when posting it my internet connection crapped out and was apparantly lost. I'm not going to bother reposting it because in the big scheme of things the whole MPK issue is just another dead horse looking to be beat with the leg of another dead horse, by a dead horse.

I suppose Cubs and I can agree to disagree on the issue, as I think it is a matter of semantics (allowing such a thing to be justified) whereas he thinks it completely and totally wrong.

Quote of the week!

Wasn't someone else given the quote of the week? Either way, I'm honored 8)

No, that was quote of the day. There's also quote of the month floating around out there...

LOL, I Completely agree!

....but I would never be disrespectful to you, I'd go play somewhere else and leave you alone.

Cubswoo, Your STFU eggs ROCK!
Hilarious and righteous.

Damn egg-yelling-spam-mongers...stfu Ahah great one man.

I couldn't give two shits if you think we 'need to get a life' because we roleplay, or that two characters are becoming married. Like you said, It's your opinion and it really doesn't effect me. However, if you were to run around persecuting me or any of my friends by making fun of us and bothering us while we're trying to have fun, then it would become an issue.

^^^^ I think "Game" is the key word in this sentecne, it is just a game, so it's not like getting married in it so OH SO IMPORTANT. Its just something to do for fun because of the fact it's a "game". Come on, leveling does get boring after while, gotta entertain ourselves somehow. :P

It just sucks when people try to ruin the fun because for some reason they think it makes them cooler for trying to say how "lame" you are.

Like I said. When they informed us to

"GET A LIFE U FUCKING FAGS"

I had to laugh. Arent they playing the same game we are?

I would've stopped short if I'd heard a word and sit silently by. I think it would've been a wonderful change of pace for me ingame. We need more originality in this world.

MPKing is bad.

Being an ass is bad.

Being sarcastic is worse (but more fun).
