So whats more socially acceptable in FF11

Gil buying is cheating.

On the question, I think people in end game are more apt to admit to hacking than to gil buying. All though, I would guess the majority of them buy gil, especially the ones who gimp their main job to 75, then all of a sudden get decked out.

Lower level players are more apt to admitting they buy gil. Kind of odd, but Ive seen a lot of players in their 20s -50s that readily make it known.

I should've written names down because I bet some of them troll around here and have landed in end game shells.

I was level 7 and I purchased gil, and gave it out like Robin Hood! Hakachi kachi kachi!

To the first paragraph: I'm gimp for life ..... kachi kachi. I love Dave Chappelle.

I also loves me some Chappelle. "I... love... lesbians! I watch the L'Word on ShowTime! Byah!"

Hey the OP just asked for a choice, I'm not planning to waste my time discussing it lol.

I would rather compete in end-game against gilbuyers and RMT then cheaters that get an unfair advantage. Gilbuyers can't buy abjurations.

Couldn't they just kill the NM and sell it to anyone watching? You can buy the three items for a BB so I don't see how an abjuration could be different. Plus I have seen gil sellers shouting to sell a Byakko's Haidate, not the pop items, but to actually kill it and lot the drop. It's not a stretch to think they would actually kill Fafhogg, Aspid, and KB then shout for people to buy the drops. If no one does, then they lot it up for themselves to make the next kill easier.

As for the original topic, I'd just quit. I can't stand either group and the game would not be worth playing if those were my choices.

Gillbuying doesn't warp you anywhere, make you flee forever, insta-claim a NM, make you force-dc anyone, etc...

Both are bad for the comunity, but hacking is way worse.

They're the same. Buying gil means you're acquiring gil that was likely made from selling an item that was obtained through flee/position hacking/claim boted.

Thanks for cluing us in on what hack you decided to roll with after asking Chasym where you could find some.
Owned on several different levels.
I'm surprised pretty much everyone has ignored Cua's ignorant remark. Owell, I don't feel like getting into anything tonight, I'll let someone else do it.
