So yea. Alarm clocks are supposed to wake you up... NOT...

OMG Arc!!! That is totally what I have! My father has it also. I never knew it was a disorder. It happens once in awhile....and goes by exactly same way as WebMD says. Thats so weird.

Wow! That sleep paralysis looks evil. I'm sorry you both have it Arc, and Brin. ; ; I was looking through that site, and since my family has a long history of sleep disorders, I figured I'd find mine. Sure enough I did:

Confusional arousals
Confusional arousals usually occur when a person is awakened from a deep sleep during the first part of the night. This disorder, which also is known as excessive sleep inertia or sleep drunkenness, involves an exaggerated slowness upon awakening. People experiencing confusional arousals react slowly to commands and may have trouble understanding questions that they are asked. In addition, people with confusional arousal often have problems with short-term memory and have no memory of doing these things the following day.

I've had an EEG done to me while asleep, and I can go into deep sleep at the drop of a hat. Although not life threatening, if I try to take a nap I wake up feeling groggy and I have almost no recollection of the previous day. Sometimes I don't "wake up" until a half an hour afterward. I could also contribute this memory loss to my seizure disorder. Passing out is not healthy for the brain. Nosirree.

Wow i have Confusional arousals too. I don't really think its a sleep disorder though...just speaking while semi-conscious. Of course i suppose i could be a disorder in a larger form, but for me its just that i wake up get told something go to sleep a minute or two later and don't remember them telling me it. Nothing to write home about really...

You'd hafta be dumb to believe fanboy stuff like that.
toms hardware is not fanboy stuff. they test everything and are not biased against any of the companies. if pentium boards have the saftey cut off then amd is dumb to not have the same thing.

I wonder which one I have :o.

I don't have a sleep disorder... unless you count the fact that I am a light sleeper - evidenced by the fact that I have two RL flames about sleeping here.
