Question regarding the social groups: Would you want to see the posts look more like the posts in the forums (ie this one with the left hand column and such)?

edit to add: If we did this, it may not include everything like sigs simply because jelsoft half assed the groups and it doesn't pull that info in.

I don't think its really necessary, TBH. It'd be fine if it happened, but I think there are other things that may be better to work on (like a multi-quote button, for example) first.

I'm wondering if it'll ever just take you to the last post you read, rather than the very last post in the thread much like the regular forum. It is a bit annoying if you click "last post" and have to scroll up or click back a few pages to find where you left off.

Also, is there anyway of changing the limit of words per post to what you would have in a regular post? If we're nixing the private forums, then this would be ideal, else you have to break your post up into sections to post if you're posting something more than 1000 words. It's probably not a big deal in a social group where a lot of short posts are the norm, but the LSes, I can see it being a problem.

The limit for posting was upped to 6000 words iirc. And to get to the recent post, just click on the arrow after the title of the post either in the social group area or on the forumpage.

Could we maybe put the page buttons on the top of the discussions as well as the bottom? It's stupid that I'm even asking it because it takes 3-5 more nano-seconds to scroll down and hit the >> button to take me to the last page, but here I am asking anyways, lol.

Can we have it how it looked before? lol no?

Ok I'll sit in my corner again. :'(

I prefer the old way it looked, personally. Though Linh's idea too. >_>;

Quote and Multi-Quote are top requests for vbulletin to release as an update / a lot of sites don't want to have to hack it in.

Do you need constructive comments? Or can I just say I hate it?

It hurts my eyes.

So I guess you guys deleted posts of people's opinions on what to do (Rannoch, Knightblade, Legomyeggo)? Constructive or not, that's what they think and it shouldn't be dismissed. But I'm sure this will get deleted too because I'm questioning something. The response will be "Worthless post is worthless" or some crap, but whatever.

What Gilga said. And that shit is still ugly as hell.

Probably because he was asking if people liked the lack of the user postbit or not so he could put the hack in that would change the layout of the social group messages. Not posts that are basically "SHITS UGLY!" and other...yes, worthless posts.

You do realize this is a poll, right? If they had voted, then their opinion wasn't dismissed at all. Had their posts contained something like "Shit's ugly, but if you changed this colour or moved this around, it'd be better" they would still be here. But all their posts did amount to, was a simple no vote.

One person said shit's ugly, so I suppose that accounts for everyone else. Listen, a poll is one thing and a post is another, while "shit's ugly" is almost a worthless post, not all of them were. Yeah, they were far from complex, but they were something to look at. But I suppose because one person says "shit's ugly", everyone is saying the same.

Making different variations of shits ugly is just as worthless as saying the same thing. Even if it was say like 10 words comparing somethings ass to the social group? What did you expect? Worthless posts like that are probably going to get deleted. lol

On a different note, if anyone is moving their forum to a social group (i'm assuming it's a bit since I have basically all of my hidden forums with a note that says they are marked for deletion) you should wait until the reds give the A-Ok that all the mods for the hidden forums are taken down.

Even though you can choose to have the users must join to view content clicked, users who are still viewed as a moderator on the forum will still be able to view your content.

Just something that caught my eye earlier. ;o

Okay, I apologize for earlier. I have a question though, was this social group change and removal of hidden forums announced anytime prior to today? I just want to make sure.
