I am lvl 58 atm and at the bump where partys is hard and such now but i want to solo a bit....the only problem is i dont know any place i can solo at this lvl...any help is needed bad haha thanks for the help
 
i know a good spot for any job, at this level. Go in newton marvopolos, at the zone thes is a beastmaster moblin with a bat pet. pull the pet without linking the master, they are easy to kill. you can do that until pet is evenmatch. they spawn their pet every 1 minute. I see a lot blm do that ( 2 spells kill them) and i guess a drg can kill them.
 
Crawler's Nest. EPs galore down there at the basement. Put your empress band up and sub WHM or RDM. I soloed until 63 there, rather quick too.

At lvl 58 a buddy of mine was Drg/Blu and tearing apart Lesser Colibri. Weak to piercing, toss out metallic body and footkick and you should be golden. Though, the safest bet is listening to kiki ^.~
 
Lesser Colibris are nice, but they're Tough to me as DRG62/BLU31, which leads to some downtime between fights, even with Sanction Refresh.

I'll have to give the CN suggestion a try sometime.
 
Not sure what you mean, Chrono. You can't use the Call Beast ability unless your main job is BST, and since your BST only appears to be 20, you'll have trouble charming anything that'll give you experience point @ level 60.
 
Colibris should probably be good. I was already 75 by the time the expansion came out, but they would probably be managable.

And Kiki is right about CN. I soloed there a lot between parties. Lots of squishies. Just chain the EP and you will be able to get a good 1500+ xp an hour without the ring. Not bad if you asked me.

I might not have soloed 1-75 like Kiki, but I did my fair share. Eleibfrid and I even both took the shot at soloing Sea Horror. He did it a level earlier than me I believe lol DRG really is awesome at soloing.

He means the BST mobs. He should try killing their pets.

If your talking about the newton bst pets as a 60 blm im guessing it would be great exp. I solo'd there as blu at about lvl 65, i made about 260 exp without band per kill, and could make up to chain 4's for about 360 a kill. And with band it was well over 500 exp a kill. And im 70 now and i still solo there, only 150 exp a kill now (200 chains) but it is fast. Soo, thumbs up on the bst pets ^^
 
I cannot provide info on soloing in the new areas as I did it (to 75) before I brought the expansion. If the expansion works well and you can really kill tough colibris quick, safe and efficiently, the Crawler's Nest suggestion will be void.

If you're on limited playtime and don't want to parties, 3000 a day is quite a fair amount. Even to fill in the gap here and there. Just get used to dying initially and get used to living at 200~300 HP. =)

Yeah, don't forget your reraise items. Refresh items are good to have too.

And soloing gets so much easier once you have your AF helm. You won't have to live in the red anymore.

Yep. Live in the yellow and/or orange from 60. The most important factor here is safety. Always consider that first. Of course it's nice to chain #3+ EMs/Toughs, but what good is it if it's of a considerable risk? One death could potentially make you lose all the work you just fought so hard for.

(I've noticed colibri's are quite disruptive. I tried fighting a few LESSER ones as DRG75 and found them somewhat slightly slow to kill, even at 75. No food, and sometimes no TP really slows it down a bit). But sanction might make it more worthwhile.
 
I may not have been a loser drg who never got any partys but I did solo a bit and ya I did CN at those lvls just flying through the EP is good exp and it's hard especially for tarus like me to solo much tougher stuff without risking death before AF helm.

on a side note drg/blu is uber!!!!!!! soloed 8k+ per hour chaining toughs the other day and my blu sub isn't even finished yet^^

Hm, he might've been soloing on Sea Puks, which get intimidated by DRG's Dragon Killer effect if I remember correctly, and check as Tough at Level 75, and are weak to piercing damage. It's possible to go Chain #5 there, as shown by a particular DRG via screenshots on Alla, but he had exceptional gear to make it possible. With BLU sub, if the DEF boost from Cocoon is that huge to severely lessen downtime, then it's not toooo surprising, although 8000/hour is a big claim.

There was another DRG (in a party, as SAM) who saw me soloing in Cape Terrigan and claims with the use of his secret subjob and location he gets 12000/hour (pre-expansion) at some secret location at level 55. I didn't even try to argue but just agreed via /tell and never talked to him again. =p

I did try to ask what he used and where he did it. He never told me ...
