A GOOD WAY TO HAVE A SECURE FORM OF INCOME IS DOING AT LEAST 6 AVATARS PER WEEK.
MY BOYFRIEND IS A RMD 75 WITH NIN SUB CAN SOLO ANY OF THIS, OF COURSE HE NEEDS THE HELP OF THE WHM 54 :P ~> ME
WE TRY TO DO THIS MANY TIMES AS IN LINKSHELL EVENT WE MAKE 10K PER AVATAR A TOTAL OF 60K WHEN WE COMPLETE: SHIVA, GARUDA, TITAN, RAMUH, IFRIT AND LEVIATH.
ANY RDM OR BLU 75 CAN SOLO THEM, OR MAKE A PARTY. BENEFICIAL FOR EVERYONE, THOSE WHO NEEDS A PACT WITH THE AVATAR FOR SMN OR LIKE US, SECURE FORM OF INCOME.
I HOPE THIS HELP!!! :cool:
 
I was under the impression that each reward from the avatars was obtainable only once. If you can truly obtain 10k each time you do it, that would be great.

You can do them and get the 10k everytime, but there is a cool down. Not sure how long, maybe 24 hours or 1 week? Someone will correct me.
 
You can repeat the quest for gil as many times as you want, but can only do it once a day or once a week (I forget too). The 10k gil choice is repeatable as well; however, any of the equipment choices including the items required for the SMN ring can only be obtained once. If you should ever toss the items, they're gone permanently.

Decent way to farm gil; however, it's very time consuming for the 10k per avatar in my opinion. It takes a lot of time to get to NPC for quest, to cloister and then back to NPC for the gil. For the effort, I wouldn't bother personally, but some prefer it to competition farming, the randomness of BCNM and NMs, and they like the guaranteed payout. And with prices constantly dropping, 10k does seem better and better.

Also, next time you post, can you please turn off the caps lock, it makes the eyes bleed. >.>
 
You can do them once a day, and the day resets at 12AM (midnight) JP time. So essentially, you could do them at 11:30PMJST and then again at 12:01. But you need to hand in the quest between that time.
 
The only downside is the time spent getting to the actual fight. I was trying this for a while, duo-ing them but in the end, even with a WHM doing all the teleports... the time invested wasn't worth it. You can farm common drops from other mobs that sell quickly and make more gil in the 3-4hrs you'll spend making 60k a day.
 
Waste of time and crap reward. You want 10k gil ? kill 10 spiders problem solved.
 
This is a great idea and it has helped me have gil for my things since 2005. I solo all minus: Garuda, Leviathan and Fenrir. Oh, and Diabolos! ; ;

ACTUALLY U HAVE TO WAIT 8 HOURS BEFORE GET THE FORK TO DO THE SAME AVATAR AGAIN, :D NO LIMIT :wink:
 
when i finish nin i'll solo them, it's true that the time vs. gil ratio is screwed up but that applies for a few money drop mobs like the infamous devil manta or padfoot.

i usually look at it as

Money I waste a day that I could get by doing them as opposed to losing a potential 60k a day.

In reality the "counter" starts after you get the reward from the whisper key item after the fight. If you do the fight today and wait one month to cash in your avatar/weapon/gil you can re-flag the quest a day after that. My advice is getting the reward quickly after the fight.
 
Ya don't be a tard like me and forget you have a Whisper from a Avatar and then try to help people out <_<

Also, it's a good way to earn some side cash. I always go for the 10k option when helping friends out.
 
lol you can't seriously make money like this... consider the time it takes to reach the avatars.
 
Opportunity costs. You can probably easily farm more than 10k in the time it takes you to get to the avatar and back. You also don't have to pay for sneak oils/powders and you also have a lot less/no risk at all depending on where/what you farm.

If it's what you like to do, more power to you. It is nice to see someone excited as you are about 60k, lol.
